This was my first time buying this because I was looking for something more natural, eco-friendly, and non-toxic for filling my family couch cushions. It is very messy, and gets everywhere (including in my nose), but it is SO soft! It feels like rabbit fur!I take choosing products for my home very seriously. I don't like polyfill because poly is plastic based. But, I also wanted something softer than feathers and the way they can poke you.I bought a Wayfair couch that had very flat pillows, and look how beautiful of a job this did! Pricey to do 2.5 lbs for 4 pillows, although I wish I had bought more. Will definitely buy again!

I had never used kapok before but thought I'd try it out as I don't care to be personally responsible for putting more petrochemical products into the environment nor killing geese. I was pleasantly surprised by how soft and silky kapok is and how nicely it functions as pillow stuffing. I needed a small pillow for my lower back and this made the perfect little support pillow, soft, fluffs up after using and is an organic product so no pesticides or herbicides.I have one small criticism, the packaging. It comes in a plastic bag that has been compressed by wrapping a LOT of plastic tape around it. Getting the tape off tore the bag in many places allowing the kapok to get everywhere. I would like it to come in a cloth bag, or even a paper one. I am trying to reduce my use of plastic but also this was just a pain to get into.Aside from that it's great. The amount I ordered will easily make several pillows since it was packed down and gets fluffed up to be used, much like down without the poor geese.

I bough Avocado pillows from the organic mattress brand "Avocado" and I used this fill to re-fluff some of my pillows to mix in with the latex pieces. Worked perfectly. Super soft, cushy, and I know I'm not breathing in chemicals when I sleep.

My desire was to have a pillow that was pretty flat and could be scrunched into any shape, which is my preferred type of pillow. After doing a little research I chose Kapok over the other option, wool.I bought the Kapok fill to fill bed pillows. Like people advised, I filled 2 pillows OUTSIDE. It went well. I zipped up the cases, put on the outer cases and that night used them for the first time. The smell kept me awake most of the night. I was very concerned because I have a very sensitive nose and I had recently returned a different type of pillow because of the smell. Anyway, I took the pillows to a well ventilated room and unzipped them and let them sit for the day. That night I thought the smell had disappeared enough to try one of the pillows again. I zippered up the pillow then put on 2 outer pillow cases, just to see if I could smell anything. I slept through the night with no problem. I didn't smell anything. I didn't feel anything different with the extra pillow case on, so I decided to keep it on, at least for a while.Since then, I zipped up the other pillow and double cased that one as well. It's now on the bed, also with detectible smell.The Kapok went a long way. I had enough to fill 3 queen size pillows, one flat, one medium-high and one high. I had a little Kapok left, that I discarded.Although it was a little nerve-wracking, I ended up with what I wanted, a flat pillow that I could scrunch into any shape I want. The other 2 pillows are spares. I can remove some Kapok from them some day if I want to.

Quite the mess! Consistency of the pink insulation used Ehnat when I was young. Not sure what I expected maybe something more like latex.. do not wear leggings when you open the tightly wound bag and prepare to make a mess. The fluffy stuff gets everywhere.. i'm just gonna hope it's not actually insulation. It is reasonably healthy. It's in my pillow never to come out.

Bought this to make pillows for my granddaughter - very soft and silky. I made a small pillow and a standard pillow for her and I still have some left. It goes a long way. I followed the advise of others who had purchased it and had my little vacuum handy as it is fluffy. I couldn't do it outside as it is too cold in my state right now. But if you can fill outside I would recommend that. Will be getting more to do ore pillows for my husband and I as we try to do organic and clean items in our home. This is worth the money for sure.

This fill was even better than I expected. It's unbelievably soft and I love how "moldable" it is (it doesn't feel at all "clumpy" like a lot of poly fills). I'm so happy with it. The customer service is also fantastic and they shipped a replacement right away when my original purchase never showed. Thank you Bean Products!!!

I wasn't sure what to make of this product at first with the color, but I love it.You can make your own bed pillows with it. Take a nice zip lock pillow protector, and stuff it with this product. Put a small safety pen across where the zipper stops to keep it from sliding open.I am so thankful to have found this product. I hate a firm bed pillow, and you can adjust the amount of stuffing for your own comfort. I wish I had known about this product and how to make my own bed pillow years ago!
