Part of the keys to stress-free, injury-free wearing of cowboy boots for older folks!
Cowboy boots saved my feet from the ravages of plantar fasciitis, and made it possible for me to walk again. Itโs taken years to get over that, though Iโll probably never be normal again, but at least I can get around in cowboy boots, which support my feet in ways that Nikes and other soft shoes cannot compete. More specifically, Lucchese Boots from El Paso have done this for me. Other brands that Iโve tried were as bad as the Nike shoes. Lucchese boots are like having custom-fitted boots, and once you find your size, all their boots of that size will fit you. Remarkably consistent! Thatโs to set the stage for what happened next. I found that in getting older, it was hard for me to put on or remove cowboy boots. My father had once slipped a disk when putting on his boots, so Iโve always been leery of bending over and pulling them on. Enter these boot pulls. They are sturdy โ the steel hooks are rigid and strong and the wooden handles will never break under the stresses for which they were intended. The shape of the hooks is special, too. Such hooks need to slide easily under the โearsโ of the boots, the loops of leather designed for you to hook your fingers in them and pull. Since these loops spend most of their time laying flat against your leg, and the whole point of them is to stay out of the way until needed, the steel hooks need to be flattened at the tip so that you can easily slide them inside the loops without bending over to do THAT. There is no plastic involved; wood and steel mean that these hooks will last a lifetime. They are very well designed and made. The 13โ hooks mean that you wonโt have to bend over to pull on your boots. I sometimes find myself taking off my boots in various places, so I got a bootjack for each of those places to make it easy to pull them off. But then I have to pull them back on before walking. Barefoot walking has been impossible for me for about 4 or 5 years now, though Iโm just now beginning to get close to that again, thanks to the support my boots have given me, enabling my feet to literally grow back straight again. (And they have done so. Iโm vastly better now than 5 years ago.) So, that means that wherever I take off my boots, I need some of these hooks to put them back on. Thatโs why I bought 4 pair of them. I keep them in the places where I naturally dress, sit and relax, or change into other boots (think muck boots in the garage, which I change into during rainy weather). So, if anything I said about plantar fasciitis or foot pain in general resonates with your own experience, you might want to get some of these pulls for the boots that are helping your feet to heal. And if you get some, but you live in a large house, or have multiple locations where you might be pulling on boots, get enough of these to distribute so theyโll be near at hand when you need them. Four pair did it for me. With these, I can straighten my back completely while pulling on my boots. Thatโs luxurious! No chance of pulling my spine out of place, or pulling a muscle while forcing on recalcitrant boots over my high arches. Once theyโre on, of course, they feel like Iโm wearing gloves on my feet. But getting them there... thatโs another thing. And these pulls are exactly what the doctor ordered. Actually, the way I look at it, these are helping me keep the doctor away. Iโm much better off since I started using these.

Great!
These work great. Strong and sturdy (not cheap / flimsy) they are an answer to an unspoken prayer. Tried them last night getting ready for work and I am so happy now that I can pull on my boots without pulling out my back! If you wear, or would like to again wear boots but can't pull them on - these are your answer. The hooks smoothly slide right into the boot loops and allow you to COMFORTABLY pull your boots on. The only thing more you need is a good boot remover so you can pull them off when you're done.

Exactly what I wanted
These are made to last. The metal is stout. The handle has a grove on the top and the metal rod wraps around it. The length is 12โ to the hook. You can put this through your boot pull loop and stand up, and easily pull your boot on. Made to last. Perfect length, Iโm satisfied and highly recommend this to you.

Just what I needed.
As I've gotten older and fatter, it's become increasingly harder to get my cowboy boots on. These hooks help me get a firm grip on the boot's top loops that makes it a whale of a lot easier to pull my boots on. These also allow me to avoid forcing my feet in and collapsing the boot uppers. They work great. I wish I'd had the sense enough to get these when I was a lot younger.

works
these work well assisting puling on my boots, very mobile limited and this allows me to pull on my boots after I tie them loosely, very helpful

Game changing
These things are great. I use them every morning to slip my boots on. They are the simplest way to put on any high boots with loops on the sides. With decent balance you can put your boots on from a standing position quick and easy. I definitely recommend the longer ones

Brilliant product
This is a fantastic product for pulling on elastic sided boots. No more hoping about trying to pull on the tabs with your finger just hook the hook into the boot tab and pull.
