Easy to use and long-lasting, Ideal for clean, professional engraving
I run a laser engraving and cutting business and have used this spray on both metal and plastic with excellent results. It’s very easy to apply — just make sure to use it outside or in a well-ventilated area, as the fumes are strong. One thing to note is that while it's called a “black” laser marking spray, it actually sprays out with a yellow tint. That said, the final engraved marks come out black, crisp, and clean, exactly as expected. It doesn’t degrade the quality of the materials I’m engraving on, and it’s been surprisingly long-lasting — I’ve been using the same can for a couple of months across multiple projects, and there’s still plenty left. Definitely worth the investment for anyone doing precision laser work.

Works great for glass on a diode laser.
Works awesome on glass when using a diode laser. Made amazing etchings on the glasses I was engraving. Washed off really easily with just a little water. Easy to use if you follow the instructions just spray an even coat on the part youre engraving and let it sit for 10-30 mins and it is ready to engrave your parts.

It's basically spray dust
This spray helps produce a dark black engraving. It comes with detailed instructions. Two "I wish I had known that" moments:1. The spray doesn't act like paint. If you touch it after it's "dry", it comes right off. It's basically a powder. Found that out the hard way. Doesn't affect utility.2. In a video about the product, they mention a very specific way to shake the can: keep it horizontal and only shake about 1 minute. This instruction is not in the directions.Solid outcome. Will buy again.

DO NOT BUY!
Don't bother with this garbage. I was hoping it would make my CO2 laser engravings darker like usual marking sprays on wood, but it didn't. It just left a chalky light green residue that did not darken the letters at all. Plus, the instructions say to remove it with water, but it still leaves the chalky residue inside of the engraving. DO NOT BUY!!!Not sure if it works better on metal than wood though. I just know 100% that if you want a darker engraving on wood, look elsewhere (like using the Borax method).Edit: Customer service contacted me and sent me a new bottle. I was hopeful! Maybe I was wrong with my first review. I followed the instructions exactly. 1. Marked the wood. 2. Let it dry for 30 min. 3. Engraved with different power levels and speed. 4. Wiped off with water and a cloth. Ultimately IT WAS A MESS!! See photo. DO NOT BUY IT!! Especially if you expect to engrave on WOOD with this.Edit: Turns out, just don't buy if you expect to darken wood. This is for metal, ceramics, etc. not wood!

Great stuff!
This does a wonderful job! I've tried the other big brand and it doesn't work. Xtool is great! Love their lasers too!
