Acure Vivacious Volume Shampoo and Conditioner Set - 8 fl oz (Pack of 2)

I have very fine hair, and am in my 80's. I have tried many products over the years, to get some volume into my hair, without a greasy feel. Mostly hasn't worked. But I was convinced to try these products because of the EWG recommendation having to do with purity of the ingredients--no overload of chemicals. Now, to be fair, the volume did not increase very much, but there was another side effect that I really love. I have naturally blonde hair, with no evidence of gray getting in yet. But my hair had gradually just become dull, as if it was dirty all the time. One time using these products brought back my golden locks I had not seen for years. I can only surmise that my hair over time had become covered with silicone like substances. My sunshine is back, and I can hardly believe it. And there is a bit of volumizing, too. If your hair is weighted down with goo, it will lack both volume and shine. Get these products, and your future will be bright.

I have been using this product for several months now and can now accurately say that I do like it. My hair has been soft and easy to comb through. I have very thin, long, Dutch hair that breaks easily and is also prone to difficult tangles, but my hair seems to like this product. It is more costly than a store bought shampoo, but in comparison to other fragrance-free shampoos that are available, this one was among the more reasonably priced, afforable ones. One note about the shampoo, if you are switching from a store bought shampoo to this, you may at first find that it does not lather as much and this took a bit to get used to. I had a little trouble with some greasiness at the back of my skull, but it seems that after a week or two I did not have any trouble with this so I think that my head and hair needed to adjust to the switch, I learned the correct amount to use, and I also learned to just rub a little extra at the back of my neck. I no longer have any issues with the greasiness at all, and I really don't use very much at a time. My hair is very long, at least down to my elbows.

I absolutely love these and I do see some volume after washing my hair. I love how shiny my hair looks after I wash it with this shampoo. I have not yet used the conditioner. I can highly recommend these and as far as I know they are safer alternatives to many other shampoos and conditioners that are available. I do with they were a little less money but I do appreciate that they seem to have safer ingredients. I do not recall any really strong fragrances when using the shampoo. I hate perfume and strong smells so if you do as well then you might like these.

We are trying to switch to more natural hygiene products. I wanted to try this specific brand because Bobby approved recommended it. This shampoo smells amazing. It’s very minty & fresh. The formula is thick & almost sticky feeling. There isn’t much suds so I felt like I had to use a lot given the amount of hair I have. I also didn’t notice much volume after using. But it did leave my hair feeling really clean & after I dried it I felt like it was shinier than normal

Best shampoo ever. This is the first “volume” shampoo I’ve used that actually does give your hair some volume. I’ve gotten several compliments since using it.

The shampoo scent is really nice. It soaps well on the hair as well. I've been using it for few weeks now and can't tell any major difference but the shampoo feels nice.

I've been making changes in my home for quite some time now. Switching to less toxic products and non toxic when possible. Swapping products that are just for me has been on the back burner because I don't like to spend extra money on myself. After much research and asking in FB groups I decided on Acure. I was happily suprised at the price, too. All was well, it smells wonderful but no nasty synthetic fragrance. It lathered nicely and the conditioner was nice too. My only immediate complaint was that my hair was very frizzy and a bit unruly after the first use. I chalked it up to the product lacking chemicals that typical shampoo has that may have been smoothing/coating my hair. About a week into using it (I wash every other day because I work out and my hair gets very sweaty) I thought wow I finally found a crunchy shampoo that I can afford and is effective. My dandruff lessened a bit as well. Another week went by and I noticed I'd been shedding more hair. I didn't think much of it at first, then it got worse. There was always a hair on my arm, leg, hairs on my shirt, I was finding more hair about the house and in the laundry. Then I started shedding too much when washing and anytime I touched my hair. I have very long hair and I treat it very gently. I don't brush when wet and I do not heat style or wear ponytails or buns. Every single time I ran my fingers through my hair some came out. What was coming out in the shower was honestly scary. I cried more than once. I went to the doctor for labs to make sure my thyroid levels hadn't changed. They're well under control and optimal-they have been for a long time. Levels were fine! By this point I have noticeable thin spots, especially by my temples and bangs. It's just as bad, if not worse than the hair loss I experienced post covid in 2021. I'm devastated to say the least. I stopped using the shampoo and conditioner 2 weeks ago and the shedding is improving. I have a dermatologist appointment next month-he is the one who told me he agreed I should stop using it and he had me send over the list of ingredients a couple days ago so he could look over then before my appointment. I'm really not sure what caused this but it happened VERY quickly and progressed rapidly. I lost probably 25 or 30% of my hair and I used the products for less than one month. I posted in two seperate FB groups asking if this was a common experience and it is unfortunately. I spoke with several women who have had or are having a similar experience with the same shampoo and conditioner. If you're set on products that are non tox and don't interrupt your endocrine system, keep looking. I switched back to Bondi Boost for now and plan to try attitude next.

I can’t really recommend as the scent bothered me and it turned runny over time. Ultimately , I threw it away. I think there are better options.

One of the best shampoo I have ever had, that and the giovanni grapefruit something but it was harder to get. The Acure is soooo good, I bought it 3 times but then again it became pricier and harder to find so I gave up and now use the joico hydra something ❤️ I wish stores would carry it!

Lather was nice, smell was nice, but not sure it did much for my hair.

Very happy with this producc and will purchase again. It doesn't smell the greatest but once you hair is fully dried there is no lingering smell.

My hair stopped falling out from the first use. Love it. . My grey hair isn’t full of static any more. They come in different choices to benefit your hair.
