I was really pleasantly surprised! This scent is not overpowering, rich and classic. I am not a patchouli-lover, but this scent works very well for me--I found the notes more reminiscent of leather and soft wood than I did my least-favorite resin. The bergamot, lemon and basil flower notes kept this clean and summer-friendly.My son and I both tried this, and the scent was different on each of us. On me, the leather and wood were more pronounced. The bergamot and basil were much more present on him.The scent lasted about 10-12 hours on my skin--it has good longevity--and the sillage remained pleasantly close. I'd be happy to wear this to the office without being afraid of it being overpowering or unwelcome. The projection is just about right for most occasions--people have to be up close and personal.While this is definitely intended as a masculine fragrance, I think it's pretty versatile--as a middle-aged woman it fits my aesthetic nicely and I get compliments when I wear it.This is a good value for the price--a little goes a long way and it lasts beautifully in my skin. The 3.4oz bottle is likely to last me a very long time.
