Food coloring with some health benefits ...
First, this is a really nice size jar and a good place to store future packets of spirulina. It gives things a lovely sort of sea blue coloring and obviously the more you use the more intense the color. This is a great way to naturally color food items and works in baked goods and beverages as well as all kinds of treats like ice cream or puddings. It does not add any detectable taste or smell in my opinion so far anyway. You get a lot for a nice value with this jar.

the way it was advertised had me thinking it was a drink instead of a coloring for drinks!!

Blue Spirulun
No directions but I saw Oprah Winfrey give a talk on how to use blue spirulina. Just added this to my morning coffee:☕️ But only time will tell if this helps with weight loss.

Tasteless and pigmented
Nutricost Blue Plant Based Food Coloring from Organic Spirulina powder 1.1 oz. Best by 5/28, almost 3 years out. This arrived like-new with inner and outer security seals. However, the inner seal had leaked, as pictured. The blue spirulina is finely ground and powdery, as it should be. If you’ve had it before it is HIGHLY pigmented so be careful not to spill it somewhere you can’t afford to. Also, it’s virtually tasteless making it perfect for food coloring. I also received this brand’s green and red “food colors”. The blue is my favorite. The pandan is probably the weakest and I would not recommend it.This is a healthy way to dye drinks, shakes, smoothies, frosting, baked goods, etc. It does tend to lean purple in baked goods I’ve noticed, fyi. I’m giving this 4/5 for the leaky container. I’ve received blue spirulina in packets before and it’s a better delivery mechanism, imo.
