Works well
Purchased this to repair my nieces silicone Vollence doll. Poppy (dolls name) has taken a beating. It works pretty well and dries quickly. I would recommend a putty knife to smooth the product on or a wooden ice cream stick if thatโs what youโre using it for. The material itself can be too thick if you use too much and donโt spread evenly. Wish I would have found a flesh color adhesive but this does the job and my 8 year old niece doesnโt seem to mind, seeing as her doll is already missing digits. I used this to mend the bends in the arms and legs of the doll and to fill in the tiny gap forming around the neck before it gets decapitated. Iโve also used this as a glue for pieces of wood that were coming loose on a wooden platter. My husband recently used this on his Harley to glue on one of his loose handgrips lol! Pretty straightforward and easy to use. It has my 5 star vote.

Typical Permatex quality
Permatex products can always be counted on for their quality and reliability. This one is no exception. When you need an adhesive sealant for just about any application, Permatex is a brand to be trusted.

I love Silicone adhesive/sealant, no matter the brand...
Why do I buy Permatex Clear RTV Adhesive/sealant? The only reason is that it comes in smaller handier tubes. Here is my reasoning... "RTV" stands for "Room Temperature Vulcanizing". People don't realize it, but all silicone adhesive/sealants that you purchase at hardware and auto parts stores are "RTV's", no matter if they say it on the label or not. (There are also specialized curing silicone's, such as the ones used in hobby and manufacturing mold making, but a two part mixable silicone is typically used rather than RTV.) Silicone Sealant is the best sealant available for most applications. It is far more resistant to drying out and cracking than latex based sealants, is more waterproof, and is more permanent. I personally like it because it doesn't seem to attract dust and dirt as much as latex sealants. When you absolutely need a waterproof seal (boats, engine cooling systems, etc.) you use silicone. Disadvantages to silicone is it has a very strong vinegar smell while curing, it is not water soluble so it's harder to clean up, and paint doesn't stick to it as well as latex. If you are sealing around something that doesn't see a lot of heat extremes and moisture, and/or needs to be painted, you may prefer latex. Because it isn't very paint-able, silicone is available in several colors. Silicone can have different formulations that change it's characteristics slightly. All silicone's are highly waterproof, but some formulations are even better for 100% water immersion (like on a boat hull). Some have a wider temperature range. Some dry slightly faster, etc. Permatex makes other more specialized formulations which are top notch (mostly for automotive applications), but this particular package is just great plain old clear silicone sealant. Which is better for emergencies, latex or silicone? Let's say your working in a restaurant, and you have a customer restroom sink bowl start leaking that stays wet almost 24/7. You can't close the bathroom for an extended period of time because of constant use. Do you use latex or silicone? I have been in this situation and at first chose latex because of its faster drying time. The problem was, because latex is water soluble and it was exposed to dampness constantly, it never dried, and eventually just washed off. When I switched to silicone, it was waterproof even when not fully cured. Although exposed to the damp environment it did eventually cure, all the while stopping the leak. So would I choose Permatex Clear RTV adhesive/sealant over other brands of plain clear silicone? Probably not, but it does come in that nice conveniently small tube and it is available just about everywhere. Recommended

Versatile Clear Silicone for Small Repairs and Sealing Jobs
Versatile Clear Silicone for Small Repairs and Sealing Jobs This Permatex clear RTV silicone is a handy general-purpose sealant to keep around for small repair and sealing projects. I like that it dries clear and remains flexible rather than becoming a hard, brittle adhesive. It can be used on a wide variety of materials including glass, metal, plastic, vinyl, fabric, and weather stripping, so one tube can cover quite a few different jobs. Another plus is that itโs waterproof and designed to handle vibration and a fairly wide temperature range. The 3-ounce tube is also a convenient size for occasional DIY use without having to buy a large caulking-gun cartridge. The main thing to keep in mind is that this is a general-purpose RTV silicone rather than a solution for every automotive sealing job. Permatex specifically notes that it isnโt recommended for engine gasket applications, so itโs important to use it for the appropriate type of repair. As with most silicone in a squeeze tube, neat application also takes a little care. Bottom Line: A versatile, inexpensive clear silicone thatโs useful for a wide range of household and automotive sealing and repair jobs. Good product overall, with the main limitation being that it isnโt intended for every high-demand automotive application.

Perfect for silicone mold repairs!
If youโre looking for glue to fix your silicone molds look no further. This stuff is AMAZING, I tried so many other brands with no luck at all. I have saved my $200 silicone mold with this stuff.

Silicon adhesive
I ordered this for my sister to fix her van and it worked great. It's exactly what she needed to complete the work she needed to do so she could come visit me. She said it was easy to use and application was no issue. It didn't take absolutely forever to dry like some other options might.

A tidy seal
The nozzle gave me enough control to follow the trim without making a huge mess. I smoothed the bead with a gloved finger, then left the hatch alone overnight so the sealant could cure. It dried clear, which keeps the repair from standing out against the trim. I also like that the 3 oz tube feels manageable for a small touch-up, rather than a giant can taking over the workbench. This isnโt a shortcut for every leak, and Iโd check that the material suits the surface before using it. For my little hatch seam, though, the next wet hike ended without another damp spot in the cargo area. That made me glad I grabbed it before the fall trails got muddy.

It works.
It would be nice if it came with a scrapper to clean the nozzle for future use.
