Opis Technology 1921 Cable Model D Real Wood Rotary Wall Mount Phone

This is a quality telephone. I have owned one for a year as my sole source of communication (I have no cell phone) and I am delighted with its durability and features: generous cord length which allows one to sit and use it anywhere in the room, and it is made of cloth; pleasant traditional ring tone which also shuts off easily if one does not want to be disturbed; the wood is substantial and beautiful. Finally, and most importantly, they stand behind their product. I recently encountered an operational issue which the company corrected even after a year. I highly recommend it over others (less expensive is not always the safest choice in my humble opinion, you get what you pay for). Thank you.

I’m happy with this purchase and it is as described and reviewed. It recently started “ghost” ringing. That is, I can hear a short ring sound even though nobody is calling. ;) It is made of wood and plastic, and the cord that connects the hearing piece to the main phone is the old-fashioned fabric look (not plastic). It is not long, however, so you do need to pick up the “candlestick” part of the phone when you are talking. We got a splicer, so it shares the line with a modern phone with message machine. No issues there so far. I don’t think there is a volume control, and the volume seems fine to me. I want my kids to know what using a real rotary phone is like, and they LOVE this one.

Excellent product in all ways, nothing cheap or under quality. Sturdy and works perfectly. Exactly what I was looking for and hoping for!

I have been wanting a vintage wall phone for such a long time and decided to finally take the leap and I am so glad I did. It has added elegance and unique qualities to my kitchen. Wow. That is all I can say, wow! I've been looking for a replica phone for my office desk for awhile and stumbled across this one. The OPIS 1921 is the real thing! I don't usually take the time to write reviews but this item impressed me so much I have to share how great this item is. If you are looking for a replica phone this one is the one to get! It is made of real wood, real metal and cloth cords both for the receiver and for phone line cord - high quality parts through out. And, something I haven't see in any other phone I've looked at, the OPIS phone has a real functioning rotary dial (not the buttons in a circle you normally see). The fully functioning rotary dial sends the correct touch tone on the return "spin" (it of course also have *, # and redial on the rotary dial ). The OPIS 1921 also has a real mechanical bell inside it too. The item ships from Germany (the phone is made in China by a German company) and the shipment took about one week.

Very poor quality; dialing section not glued to stick; separated when attempted to dial. will be sending back for a full refund not worth the money spent.

The minute I saw this Opis 1921 Retro Telephone - I fell in love with it! It is beautifully designed and made from quality materials which is very important. You get what you pay for - but I honestly believe I got outstanding value for a very reasonable price. Vendor also has great customer service: I reached out a couple of times and received answers to my questions right away. I look forward to purchasing another classic retro telephone; I just need to decide which model I like most!

Bellissimo e funzionante

We have antique furniture, my great grand-mother bedroom set 1905. The color of wood is near the color of our set. I was happy that the cords are a bronzich color and not black plastic. the ringer at low L means off and that is great for us since it's in the bedroom, we hear the other phones in the house anyway. We also bougth it for when there is no electricity. It has a nice ring. The only thing and it has nothing to do with the phone I had to pay customs (35.00$ cnd).

Very solid wood-base phone that looks so vintage it fooled my american visitors. I can completely recommend this item.
