When I received notification of high contaminants in our City’s drinking water (but within State guidelines until the first of the year), I started researching water purification systems. A friend and neighbor has had this same system for approximately 2 years and loves it! It has multiple filters, including one for reverse osmosis RO (one of the reasons I chose this system). It is my understanding that RO removes heavy metals, including Hexavalent Chromium… which was one of my concerns. It was very simple to set up and after you run it through multiple flushings of the filters, you fill the reservoir and are ready to drink delicious, pure water! It’s so easy to use and doesn’t take up too much counter space! I bought some test strips that confirm its purity. It provides confidence that I am drinking clean pure water and I also give it to my dogs! I highly recommend!

I just got this tonight and wow! I’m so glad I decided to invest in my health. It’s so smooth and almost sweet compared to my last filter which left me thirsty. I used it in the cat bowl and my girl was so happy! I filled up my ice tray and a bottle that is in the fridge for a cold treat. I honestly don’t mind it room temp or faucet cold. My last filter, I needed ice and I still had to force myself. Super easy to set up, tons of video and the directions are clear. It’s a nice design. The brand and the certifications make this one the best option for me. I’m renting and can’t install RO system. It’s easy and works well. I will update if I do have a problem but as of right now, this is just what I needed.

I’ve used SimPure countertop water filters since early 2020 and owned both the 6th and 7th generations. I recently bought the 9th generation and was initially impressed. The new side-mounted tank makes it shorter and a better fit under kitchen cabinets. Unfortunately, less than two months in, the water developed a fishy smell. My tap water and fridge-filtered water don’t smell like this at all, and after some research, it appears this can be caused by bacteria. After reading the one-star reviews, I realized I’m not alone. While the 9th generation has some nice design upgrades, it fails at the most basic job: providing clean, good-tasting drinking water. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I'm really happy I found out about these RO countertop units! I had an under the sink RO unit in my last house and was using gravity fed filters with a Zero Water large water container for awhile because I didn't know they made these. The Zero Water I have to change the filter every 3 weeks with my high drinking water usage. What a pain (and the filters are expensive too), and often I would fill up water bottles for my fridge and find out the filter had gone bad so I would have to dump out all that water I worked to filter. No more! I love that the filters last 6 months! I am impressed with the build quality, looks like a solidly engineered machine. It is controlled by a computer so all I have to do is fill it with water, very very easy and no guesswork about TDM levels! BTW, my tap water is around 150 to 200 ppm, after using the filter it is 2ppm! I chose the near zero TDM model because I like it like that but if I wanted to add minerals to it in the future it looks like all that's needed is a different filter from the manufacturer to plug in. I got this over their lower priced models which have two filters instead of three and glad I did, although I'm sure that water is good also, I want to be extra sure. Highly recommended, 5 stars!

I am very happy with this product. It is simple to operate, the water tastes great. I would highly recommend this to a friend. In fact my sister already asked me where I got it. She wants to order one for her home.

The following is a product review for the SimPure Y9T Water Filtration System. I'm very pleased with the features this device offers. I purchased my unit in December 2025 and have been using if for a few months now. The quality of purified water is excellent. I also like the following: - Instant Filtration - Compact design - great for kitchens with limited counter space - No plumbing required - Plug in electric outlet to power unit - Quick delivery of water once Dispense Button is pressed In closing, I found the Y9T Series Owners Manual to be well written and user friendly. It’s been over a year since I’ve bought this water dispenser, and it’s hit or miss. When the water is good, it is good! But I’ve had four new set of filters - pack the device came with lasted months. Second set lasted maybe a month and a half. Third set was great, again lasted months. Now I’m on my fourth set of filters and the good water lasted three weeks. It’s almost as if the filters are bad, because the water is sulfur tasting.

This water filter system is just amazing. It's simple to use, does a great job of filtering the water, it tastes very good. The reservoir is sufficient to fill a gallon jug with each fill. We use this water for drinking but also in our ultrasonic humidifiers and it is so much easier than using a distiller which is what I did prior to this purchase. It removes enough of the dissolved solids that we have noticed no white dust or accumulated mineral deposits in our humidifiers.
