Micro Center AMD Ryzen 5 4500 Desktop Processor with GIGABYTE B550M K Motherboard (Micro-ATX, DDR4, Dual M.2, SATA 6Gb/s, PCIe 4.0)

Amazon box had a hole gouged in it when I got it. I was Leary about it but when everything was unpacked and I was ready to do the build, I had no damage to the product. Install was straight forward as common atx boards go. Processor was easy to understand but gigabytes indicator on the socket to what corner the processors arrow should point was rather vague and faint. Figured it out, the heatsink had compound pre applied so good to go out of the packaging without additional thermal compound. Board mounted without moving any atx boots around in the case. New power supply cords clipped firmly and comfortably into their respective connectors. Ram installed likewise. Good fit. Case switches, case indicators, CPU fan and other system fans connected as they should. Sata cables were easy but the board only has two connectors. Yes I know it came with nvme m.2 but this person isn't ready for that yet. Great that the board automatically had drivers ready to install with the windows installation from the previous main board. Overall I'm expecting better performance when the ram is upgraded. It picked up the 4060 amd GPU fine. Worked over HDMI first boot. Good product so far. All the integrated features work as they should.

Great upgrade for a home computer

Nice upgrade for my old computer. Previous computer was sufficient for my needs but would not run Win 11 so I bought this bundle. Buying a bundle takes the guess work out of finding a mother board and CPU that will work together. It would have been nice if the included CPU would have run the on board graphics but that would have probably cost more and I already had a graphics card. Found out later that my graphics card was to old to run under Win 11. The listing does say that the included CPU will not run the on board graphics. Using my old case, power supply, and peripherals the computer went together easily and booted up first time with no problems. I am using it now to write this review. I am quite happy with it. Although in the listing it is described as Windows 11 ready it does not mention that to run Win 11 you must change a setting in the BIOS. CSM must be disabled to run Win 11. After I disabled CSM the computer would not boot because the old Graphics card was not compatible. The reason it only gets a 4 is because if you buy the CPU and mother board separately you can get them for $154.98 instead of $179.99. If I could do it over again I would by the mother board separately and buy a CPU that would run the on board graphics. Twenty Twenty hindsight!

Nice purchase as a bundle. Hope they offer a ryzen 7 and 9 bundles at affordable prices too. You will be happy.

I couldn’t get it to work so it was a big waste of money to me

An awesome piece of kit if you're building a new machine. Great features, awesome bios, great performance, stability of the platform is high, capable of crazy speeds and with the correct fan the cooling will not be an issue.
