Absolutely love this camera and all the features and for the price it was a steal very easy to set up and connects to wifi was able to keep an eye on my house from out of state.

Update 01/18/21: Just received my 3rd Vstarcam. At this point, I can't imagine owning any other brand. I bought one of the 720p Vstarcams 2 years ago and I have it mounted inside my living Room Window so I can't use the night vision feature due to the reflection. Turns out, I really only need my porch light on and it is sufficient enough to see. Actually I like it better because It stays in color which can come in handy if you ever need to Identify the color of a car. Since I've owned the 720p Vstar cam I have bought several other brands and have mounted them right next to one another and have found not only are the others (which were supposedly 1080p) inferior to the Vstarcam in picture quality but the last one I bought was completely blacked out as soon as the sun set and useless without a LOT of I.R. led's blasting the area. So I decided that I was only going to buy the VStarCams from here on out because I definitely don't want to have to use more than one app. but I also haven't found another 1080p cam in this price range that is near the quality of this 720p. So when I ordered another cam a couple days ago, it was a no brainer to order the Vstarcam 1080p... thinking, at worst, It would be the same quality or a little better. After I hooked it up I could definitely tell a difference right away in video quality but the real surprise came after the sun set. If you look at the Pictures I posted, both are the Vstarcams and the darker image is the 720p and the brighter is the new 1080p and you can easily see that the new cam is absolutely amazing looking out my window and no night vision being used on either of them. The 2 pictures were taken well after dark and the only light I have on is my 60 watt led porch light which isn't really that bright. The darker picture from the 720p cam is more true to how I see it outside with my eyes but the other camera completely surpasses any that I've tried. The camera stays on all night with no night vision and it is still in color. I know looking at the screen shots looks like there are some IR's on but I promise you it is only the porch light and the street lights and the street lights are no where nearly as bright as they appear through that camera, it's just that camera has an amazing sensor. So this is an easy one.... I highly recommend anyone whom is looking to mount a camera on the inside of a window looking out and still wants to see everything clearly in color and use no night vision to buy these 1080p VstarCams. It's also worth noting that the software is far better than the software for other cams I own and there is actually a different app for the cell phone and PC which is nice because the app for the pc looks like a professional system with a ton of really great features. Lastly, the older cam I bought 2 years ago has never worked through my Alexa Echo Show but to my surprise the new one does and it didn't require me to jump through hoops to make it work since all the software was already configured for Vstar. Hooking up the second camera was very easy and fast, again, since my cell phone, PC, and Alexa Show was already configured for this brand, all I had to do was plug it in and open my Android app for the camera's and scan the bar code... and presto!!! Done!!

Read update at bottom before buying......This is the 4th vstar cam. The eye4 app is easy to use and can host cameras from my home and my office seamlessly through the app. This is my go to brand. The cloud works well to store motion recordings. I have not used the person tracking, just general motion detection. It gives me and email and push notification on the app if any camera is tracking motion. I generally have them set to the medium motions setting as high goes off at a piece of dust floating by, that's how sensitive they are. The night vision work great. The darker it is in the room, the better the night vision video. You can literally be in total darkness, not being able to see your hand in front of your face and the night vision video is crystal clear. I will continue to use this brand and the eye4 app. Important Update:. The app has stopped providing updates and you can no longer buy cloud storage. It looks like the company went out of business sometime in the last year. The last app update or firmware update was almost a year ago. The worst part is that you can no longer buy cloud storage. You cannot contact the company by phone or email anymore either. The phone number is disconnected and email is not responded to. I have a feeling they are just trying to sell of their remaining stock of cameras. This is 6/12/23. DO NOT BUY! No support and an outdated app with no cloud storage. This specific camera must have cloud storage bc it does not have a SD card slot.

We now have two of these. The dual view is such a great idea. Great for watching our pets while we're out - the fixed panoramic gives us the full view while the top camera rotates. so that we can look around for when they're running around separately. Having a 2K view gets a good amount of detail. Love the tracking feature (human detection) as well as the built in LED light (for night viewing). I placed the second one above our doorway, to alert us for packages as well as swivel around to the road. Alerting is decent - i receive the messages quickly while on wifi, and acceptable latency when outside the range. The app is tedious and a bit complicated, more than it needs to be and not intuitive in english for some of the functions. 4 stars for this. Setup was pretty easy, and battery lasts quite a while. It's in a medium busy area and i end up charging it every couple of weeks with a fast USB-c charger. Would recommend a good-sized SD card like 64-128GB. I purchased one of the faster Sandisk cards and video now streams a bit faster. Hopefully they will continue to upgrade the app. The camera is great and I might be purchasing a third one later this year!

For $10 this is a great camera. It even tracks movment. The alerts I get are quick (realtime). I will be getting a couple more You can't beat the price.

Very good camera nice and clear! For the price, it was amazing. I would recommend! Only drawback is to move camera side to side stopped working in a short period of time since I received it? Disappointed ☹️

THIS CAMERA IS ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING!! I bought this camera because I feed stray cats and I don't want to have to constantly check downstairs to see if they are there. I'm pretty sure this camera is for indoor use only, but it does well outside. The only thing is in the rain it malfunctions. The price for what you're getting is absolutely outstanding. Like my family thought I spent like $75 dollars. Setup is some high tech stuff foreal. I've purchased tech in the thousands of dollars and the setup hasn't been so cool and high tech that it outperforms pricer product setups. There are two cameras: one that moves that you can control from your phone and one that stays still. You can also zoom in! It also has sound and a darn speaker!! This is perfect for me because I can check a large area to see where the cats are. The speaker scares them away because it's really loud. xD The app is very easy to use although the language on it when you don't want to upgrade cracks me up. It says "cruel refusal" xD The app can give you notifications when there is motion and darnit it this thing has night vision! This camera is a STEALLLL. The video recording is also great too. I believe you have a set amount of things that can be recorded for free but after that you gotta pay. I haven't paid and it's fine. I think you can mount this thing because it came with pieces for that. Oh and I have an iPhone and it works great with it. Overall, I highly recommend this and actually think it deserves an Amazon reward or something. Highly recommend!! And if you catch it on a sale you're a lucky duck. K baii.

Good little camera for a decent price. Using it for my baby and my dogs. Very easy setup and connection decent quality. Love the talking feature and could view when out of the house

Camera worked fine for a few months but now the charging port is faulty and there’s no customer service to repair this thing. The app Eye4 is ok. Basic UI and not much versatility. I’m not a fan of continuously having to “think about it” either when they try to sell their cloud storage. I have an SD card. There’s nothing to think about.

This camera is great value for the money. The only issue is it does take awhile to connect and sometimes freezes. The motion detection does not appear to work unfortunately.

This camera hardly ever works. It’s always appearing offline or has errors. It’s a nightmare to have to keep resetting and reconnecting to the Wi-Fi. This camera ALSO doesn’t work when it is plugged directly into the internet. The “Tech support” is also a joke.
