Brush is really good at separating curls. I would recommend detangling hair with a tangle teaser first to ensure all knots are out. I have type 4A thin curly hair. It does make my curls bounce tighter so my hair looks much shorter compared to when I just used a tangle teaser. I would reccomend using oil and conditioner or your usual products so curls stay defined throughout the day.Only 4 stars because it doesn't brush my hair to get knots out and it requires angling brush to enable curls to go through the side.

This hair brush maintains my daughters curly hair. It keeps it smooth and curls tidy all through the day. Very gentle on her scalp. I used it on my wig and bounces the curls back.

Was pleased with this brush when I first started to use it helped create great curls until it fell apart the bristles started to fall out and now not usable would not recommend it for its strength I only had this brush two months bought it in July
