First Aid Beauty KP Bump Eraser Scrub, 10% AHA, Sensitive Skin

I wish I had thought to take before/after photos of the KP I've dealt with on my thighs for most of my life. I have tried several other (and, in many cases, more expensive) products that claim to specifically combat KP over the years. Some of them even include many of the same ingredients as FAB's KP eraser scrub. Many exfoliants or acid acne treatments have similar components as well. I have to tell you, though: I never, not even once, noticed any positive change or results from using other products that claimed the same target. ** Please note that KP is not the same thing as enlarged pores, folliculitis, razor bumps, dry/itchy winter skin, or body acne; eczema, psoriasis, allergies, and infections (fungal types or ingrown hairs can become infected) can overlap, exacerbate, or mimic symptoms and appearance, but KP is it's own thing, usually genetic, that causes excess keratin to build up around and sometimes block a hair follicle. You may see some improvement or not if you have another condition and are using this to help. If you have a chronic skin condition of any kind, see a dermatologist or other expert to know for certain what you're dealing with, before attempting to treat your skin. ** My KP was much worse in my youth on my extremely fair skin. I resigned myself early in life to never really showing my legs unless forced. Now that I've tried this, I actually stand a chance of wanting to wear a pair of shorts one of these days and not feel nearly as self-conscious. I noticed an immediate difference in the texture of my skin and the reduction of my more troubling KP bumps where the keratin plug/hair follicle was particularly noticeable or pigmented and raised. FIRST USE RESULTS. And I'm not so easily impressed, but I've been loving it more and more as time goes by, so it wasn't simply honeymoon phase. The exfoliant has what I can only describe as a gritty, almost cement-like texture and appearance straight from the tube, a little stiffer than toothpaste and salt mixed together, less granular than sugar scrubs to me. You don't need a lot of it even for large problem areas -- it has good mileage/coverage -- and you don't really need to scrub to death (in fact, not recommended; this buffs away what needs to go and includes pumice bits so you don't necessarily need a pumice stone or anything). I use it on the areas in question or affected and nowhere else -- I have body washes and other such stuff for the rest of my body... This is made for KP and that's what I target. The first time, I used maybe a half-inch amount on each inner thigh, spread it gently with my fingers, and then used my pumice stone in small light circles over the most troublesome areas. Since then, I've only been using my konjac sponge, and a little less product overall. I go through the rest of my shower routine making sure to wash it away properly but I don't use other exfoliants or scrubs on these areas. I have sensitive (redhead) skin and don't want to make it any more sensitive and prone to sunburn than it already is without the help of a vague chemical peel. Still, twenty minutes after showering, I can feel the areas tingling lightly, and that's how I know the magic is truly happening at the level it needs to be happening on. It doesn't burn, itch, or irritate at all, and doesn't leave any dryness or any build-up in it's wake. It also doesn't have any detectable smell. Even though I could still see the more irritated, raised KP bumps, the texture and feel was so remarkably different and reduced, I could hardly believe my fingers. For me, this is huge, because if I can FEEL the bumps, I'm prone to picking at the larger ones until I've gone from little keratin bumps to full bloody sores. Using this scrub about twice a week, for almost 2 months now, I'm amazed at the new texture of my troubled areas. I've even noticed an overall reduction in the development of new plugs which I thought would never be the case. Yes, I tried it once on a rough patch at my elbow and it smoothed it out, as any good exfoliant likely would, but I'm not wasting this miraculous stuff on anything but my KP bumps.

I read a review elsewhere about this that said people swore after ONE use, their long standing bumps were immediately erased. Well I only have one troubling spot where that happens & its under my lip on my chin, no matter what I do. WHEN I TELL YOU THE TEENIEST BIT OF THIS GOT IT SMOOTH AS A NEWBORN'S PRECIOUS LITTLE FRESH SKIN & I HAVENT HAD TO USE AGAIN, BECAUSE IT LASTS QUITE WELL, TOO, I'M NOT EXAGGERATING. Be very judicious with how much you use. Americans have an overscrubbing problem & you don't wanna cause irritation or peeling, but this product is WONDERFUL. Smooth, inexpensive, I got the peach fragrance & its a delight, the grit is very fine so its perfect for tiny amounts doing VERY HEAVY LIFTING. I LOVE IT. IT IS NOT TO BE SLEPT ON! GET IT.

I used a KP product over 20 years ago that did not do anything. I've always been embarrassed by the bumps on my arms and thighs since I was a teenager, which seem to go away when I tan, but are present any other time. This stuff changed all of that. The backs of my arms, tops of my thighs, and my bottom are near perfect smooth now. I've never liked my skin like this! I highly recommend this scrub! Give it 3 times to see the difference - that tip was one I was so grateful for reading in a review. I have used it twice a week for the last month and it has changed my relationship with my skin. And a little does go a long way - I was using too much at first. Using exfoliating gloves helps also. I have yet to find out if this is a "you have to use it forever" type of thing. I suspect my arms would revert if I just stopped using it forever. But I also think it is something that will require it less over time (like shaving). Time will tell. But I'm very grateful to have found this and to have given a KP product another try.

This is already my second order of this product, and I really like it! I use it about twice a week on my upper arms, where I have keratosis pilaris (“strawberry skin”). It helps smooth the skin and reduce the bumps, although it doesn’t make them disappear completely. Overall, I’ve noticed an improvement with regular use and will definitely keep using it.

I love this stuff. I don't ever let myself run out of it. When I use it consistently, my skin is soft as a baby's bottom. I have KP but I'll even use it on areas where I don't have KP just because it makes my skin so soft. I use it on my bottom too (I don't have KP there) and afterwards, I'll tell my husband to come feel my butt! It's just so so soft and smooth! I have KP on my thighs and upper arms and with consistent use it completely smoothes out - can't feel the KP at all - and the KP dots fade. I've never used it consistently for months and I plan to do that now. I'll use it for like 2 weeks consistently (once a day in the shower) and then I start slacking. But whenever I've gone like a month without using it, the first time I use it again I am almost completely, if not completely, KP bump free. I just ordered 2 more and I'm going to try to stick with it all summer long. I am confident I won't be disappointed, since I haven't been disappointed with my sporadic use.

OH MY GOSH????????? Cross my heart hope to die stick a cupcake in my eye, I’d be lying if i said this product isn’t magic. I had super bumpy legs, bumps on the back of my legs, my knees, and my calves. After THREE uses of this the bumps are gone. I highly suggest this product it’s life changing 😻😻⭐️

I actually really like the product itself, so the 3-star rating is not because of the quality or performance. My issue is with how much product was actually in the tube. When I opened it and tried to squeeze some out for the first time, a HUGE amount of air came out before any product did. By the time all the air was pushed out, the tube looked like it was already about 1/3 empty! For the price, that was really disappointing. I like the product and would have happily given it a higher rating, but I honestly feel a little cheated when the container appears full but so much of it is actually just air. I hope the company improves the filling or packaging because the product itself is good.

I consistently sugar my legs and occasionally get ingrowns/dead skin build up. I’ve been looking for alternatives and THIS IS THE ONE! I personally love a gritty texture for my scrub and my skin feels so smooth afterwards. The smell is amazing. You get a lot of product out of the bottle for the price. The only issue I noticed is that the lid sometimes doesn’t close with ease but it might’ve just been my bottle.

It stinks something fierce!! But it leaves the skin so soft and moisturized.

Really like the product, I noticed a change to my skin within a few weeks, almost 80% of the KP on my arms has now gone. I use it two to three times a week in conjunction with the CeraVe SA cream (applied daily).

This scrub works really well and leaves the skin feeling soft, smooth and refreshed. After just a few uses, my skin felt much softer and looked better. The texture is great for exfoliating without being too harsh. A little goes a long way, and I would definitely buy it again. Highly recommended!
