Gaviscon Advance is marvellous stuff, controls my reflux brilliantly, recommended by my doctor. However, the price has shot up from £8 to £12....NOT HAPPY.

Gaviscon Advance Aniseed Flavor turned my relapse symptoms of Respiratory Reflux around quickly. And saved me from going back to the doctor for medicines that weren’t very helpful. The GA allowed quick healing after I cut out the trigger foods, continued upper body elevation at night, and refraining from eating for 4 hours before lying down. I don’t know that GA would be so effective without the modifications. Even with my sensitive gag reflex, I have been able to take GA without difficulty. I don’t like the flavor and thick texture, but I tolerate it well and am getting accustomed to it. I ordered from the USA since it is not sold here, and have found it to be worth all the expense.

Reliable for heartburn relief but as a personal preference the aniseed taste is awful, I much prefer the mint. It’s a bulky bottle so not really portable. Zero side effects ever noticed in the years I have been using this product.

This has been a game changer for me, I'm trying very hard to come off PPI's due to the effects they can have on vitamin and mineral absorption, I now take Gaviscon Advance before bed on the days I don't take PPI's and it really does help a lot. The taste isn't the best but it's only for a few seconds so I can live with that. I tend to just take a small swig from the bottle as it's so thick, I tried it in a little measuring cup and I couldn't get it out.

Need this for my Silent Reflux. Very happy to see it at this price (£8) will buy again.

I would be lost without Gaviscon Advance Aniseed (Double Strength). There are several Gaviscon products available for different issues, but this is the one that works best for my acid reflux. The aniseed flavour is gentle on the stomach, whereas peppermint can feel a bit stimulating for me. I take it regularly and also as a top-up when my reflux symptoms flare up. The alginate forms a protective barrier that helps calm my symptoms almost immediately. My only drawback is that it is a little on the expensive side, but it is very effective.

Excellent product. Helps with acid reflux and bile reflux for anyone who doesn’t have a gallbladder !
