More time
My first burr grinder. Picked it because of the stainless steel burrs. Maybe save some $ because its manually powered vs an electric one. First off I really like the consistant grind my coffee tastes even better. But I had to get used to the time it takes to grind. So if I'm cranking at about 50-60 rpm on setting 22 it takes roughly 180 turns to grind a full load.About 3 minutes. I noticed if I grind slower it processes more beans per crank but has more resistance. The finer the grind.the more turns required. So I like it. It holds the exact amount of beans I require and is versatile for use anywhere anytime. I just had to get used to the prep time.I almost benched it after the first use but find it worth the effort. The action is smooth ,there are 2 sealed bearings and it does feel like quality although mostly made of plastic. I dropped it and cracked the selector ring. Was able to repair with a hot staple. I paid around 30 which is ok in comparison,. Should last a while if I don't drop it anymore.

Amazing Value—Performs Like Grinders Costing 5x More
I don’t usually leave reviews, but this hand grinder impressed me enough that I felt it deserved one. For the price, this grinder is fantastic. I’ve used hand grinders that cost $150 or more, and honestly, I can’t taste or see much of a difference between those and this one. Maybe experienced coffee experts can, but for the average to intermediate coffee enthusiast, this grinder performs exceptionally well. The build quality feels solid, it produces a consistent grind, and the larger capacity is a nice bonus if you’re brewing multiple cups at once. My only minor regret is choosing the 60g version. I typically grind about 30g per day, split between two brews, so I don’t really need the extra capacity. That said, the larger size isn’t a dealbreaker, and considering the price, it’s an incredible value. One major tip: Before grinding, add 2–3 small drops of water to the beans in the chamber. Don’t overdo it—you only need a couple of drops. This dramatically reduces static electricity, which means far less mess and fewer coffee grounds sticking everywhere. You’ll thank me later. Overall, if you’re looking for an affordable hand grinder that delivers performance well above its price point, I highly recommend this one.

Beautiful grinder with typical hand grinding quirks
I love this thing. I love to take it on campus church church wherever I need it. I can always have fresh coffee. The taste is great. There's no metallicy or plastic taste from any of the components. It's easy to use and super portable. Components are easily removed for thorough cleaning. I love the options for adjusting the grind level .The only downside is that the grind time is a little bit more lengthy depending on the fineness you're looking for and the handle has the tendency to come off. If you don't maintain downward pressure, not a big deal but a little bit annoying sometimes. Overall love this thing, it looks super sleek and chic.

I really like this grinder!
I’m really impressed with this grinder. It’s a great price, compact, and easy to use. I was hesitant to order it because it had relatively few reviews compared to some of the bigger name brands, but I am pleasantly surprised with it’s quality. I’ve had a hand grinder in the past, but I did not like the grind quality and it was a chore to use. This one is easy to adjust, and quick and easy to grind. It’s also much quieter than an electric grinder. I use an AeroPress, and I only make coffee for myself. If I was regularly making a large batch of ground coffee this would not be my go-to tool. For one to two people brewing coffee on demand this grinder is perfect. I travel a few times a year for work and have resorted to instant or preground coffee because anything is better than the hotel coffee packets. I had been wanting to find a better solution, and now I find myself looking forward to my next trip. This handy little grinder is going to greatly increase the joy of travelling. A couple of things to note. The outside black shell is plastic, the crank shaft that holds the burr appears to be stainless steel along with the burr. The clear cup that catches the grounds, is glass. Some of the older reviews show an orange glass, but the newer one is clear. Some other hand grinders advertise being able to use a hand drill. The crank shaft is the correct shape, but it appears an odd size. A 7/32in socket fits and works well enough, but it has a little more play than usual. I think a 5.5mm socket might fit better, but I don’t have one to try. You can also use the chuck directly on the shaft. I was looking forward to using a drill to speed things up, but I found that I enjoyed grinding by hand enough that I only used the drill once.

Easy to Use and Great for Beginners
I bought this coffee grinder for my son, and he really likes it. It’s easy to use, the grind settings are simple to adjust, and it produces consistent coffee grounds. The large capacity is convenient, and the grinder feels sturdy and well-made. A great choice for anyone getting started with grinding their own coffee beans.

Works for me
I almost spent 4 times what the Ceving cost, before watching America's Test Kitchen doing a blind taste test on coffee from different kinds of grinders, and even the experts couldn't differentiate between them. I just wanted a hand grinder to handle at least 35G of coffee for my one large cup in the morning. But mainly, and the sole reason for buying this, is I needed a hand grinder so as not wake up my wife in the mornings, as happens with the electric Krups blade grinder, which by the way I am perfectly happy with. After my first use I can see how uniform the grounds are compared to the Krups, after grinding about a minute or so for the 35 grams of coffee. The Ceving seems to be a very well built unit, and I don't feel a grinder that costs 4-5 times as much could do much better, if at all. And besides, they all have their share of critical reviews despite their high prices. I don't need my grinder to have a fold away handle, all aluminum construction, or what not. I need it to grind beans, which it does very well. This is a large capacity hand grinder at a sensible price, and I'm glad I took a chance on it.

Fantastic, far exceeded my expectations!
Ive used it for over a month and can say im actually quite surprised by the grind quality. I was using an eletric blade grinder before and didnt realize I could change the flavor of my coffee based on grind size. I really like how adjustable it is and how quickly you can grind a good bit of coffee beans. Its easy to clean and is also nice looking so it looks good in the kitchen around my other coffee stuff when guests are over. Overall I'd buy this again and again and again.

SOLID, WELL BUILT, GOOD QUALITY CONICAL GRINDER
Hand grinder that has a removable hand crank . With the crank removed, it reveals a hex shaft supported by ball bearings. Pop your drill chuck onto this shaft and use low speed to get a great morning brew! So far I have put about six pounds of beans through this machine with very consistent results. Feels heavy to the hand, but has a soft rubber coating around the whole grinder. Good selectable range of coarse to fine grounds.

Excellent Manual Coffee Grinder!
I finally got down to trying the coffee grinder; and I'm extremely impressed! There are many expensive, manual and electric grinders, so I researched it for quite some time, before buying an inexpensive manual grinder. For my first attempt, I stuck with medium all the way: Medium roast whole coffee beans , ground at the medium setting (20). I won't mention the brand of coffee, or the coffee machine, because I'm only rating the grinder. Besides, I planned on getting a new coffee making machine anyway. The coffee turned out to be much more bold than I expected, but still within the range of mellow and full bodied that I enjoy. This confirms that all I need to do is dial in the right combination of coarseness of the grind + amount of beans. Of coarse it will be different for different coffee bean roasts; and if I switch to a metal filter, I may need to try a different level of grind coarseness, but that's part of the fun of enjoying the perfect cup of coffee... even though I don't plan on roasting my own beans. Conclusion: Not only am I already enjoying a better cup of coffee, I won't need as much coffee grinds to make a pot of coffee; and I'll start saving money.
