Surebond-SB-188 T High-Temp Silicone Sealant, 10.3 fl. oz. Cartridge - Black

Used as a gasket seal for my Pit Boss 820xl pellet smoker. I used saran wrap on the barrel edges and put a bead on the lid and closed it for two days. After removing the plastic wrap I left the lid open for the rest of the day to completely cure it out. This is Black High Temp and has worked great sealing in the smoke and heat in my smoker. Better than the red stuff.

. This will work with almost anything with a clean and porous surface. Flows well, VOC is not as much as some silicone and is for high temp use. Sets up (tack) quick so little time to spread. Son said can use with temp up to 500 degrees. Highly recommend. .

Remove the applicator and put on the cap (if you're lucky enough to find it), and the applicator is filled with silicone and will dry out making it useless. I still want to use the rest and keep the applicator tip without it being clogged. I took a latex glove and wrapped it around the tip and secured it with a rubber band. It works, and I'm not concerned that it looks wonky, but why did I have to. It didn't smell too badly and the smell went away after a bit....but I wasn't buying it to put in a flower vase. Find a way to allow us to keep the applicator tip on and seal it without it clogging and you've got a 5* review from me. Make it smell like strawberries and I'll give you a six!

This stuff is 100%. I used it to seal gaps on an outdoor fireplace I built with a stainless hood. It bonded perfectly to both the brick and the stainless steel. It does smell really strong so I advise against indoor use unless you have adequate ventilation. It does however lose the smell once cured and withstands intense heat. I can easily say this can be used for a variety of projects. Bonding qualities are outstanding as is it's ability to withstand very high temperatures. Very recommended.

My sons muffler had a hole about the side of a soda can. He enjoyed the extra noise, but i was having no part of it. I was looking for a cheap fix as a new muffler comes with the front and rear pipe all welded as one and runs about $145. i was reading on all sorts of muffler tape and epoxy and there were so many negative reviews. $7.50 for the tube, a piece of sheet metal and a dozen zip screws and she worked like a champ. Its been about 3 months with him driving it daily and it's still holding up great!!

This is a great product and was very easy to use. The product was quick drying and has been able to withstand extremely high temperatures of a grill, often exceeding 500°

I used this to seal the seams on my oklahoma joe offset smoker. Worked awesome and is more than to the task for this application.

Never got to use the product. My intended use was for sealing a galvanized metal flue rain cap. I didn't learn that it's not recommended for that use until reading the fine print on the tube. Should be added to the website description.
