Updated review: Saved my knees and skin!
Updated review: CrashedCrashed yesterday while wearing these. I’m no longer doubting it’s effectiveness. It worked as i expected, protecting my knees and shins. I originally submitted a 3 star because of the rivers. And yes they did pop during standing to kneeling test. But quickly fixed by zip ties and hasn’t broken off since.I was riding around 10mph on my electric unicycle when I hit a bump that threw me forward. I landed on my knees immediately and slid along with my wrist guards. No injury no pain anywhere. What could’ve been a bad day, I was able to keep riding. These paid itself off. Thought I’d share this experience. Photos attached with the scratches on knee pads.Previous review:Took a nice fall riding electric unicycle in NYC. Landed on my left knee before rolling so decided to get these.Your going to get what you paid for. I know these are cheap, I got them anyways because I will probably destroy it in a few months before getting replacements. The screws that holds the actual knee guard did pop out when I did a test kneeling. I replaced it with zip ties and it seems to work much better since the zip ties bends better than the screws.I haven’t fallen on these whole riding yet but will revisit this review to see how they hold.

Broke on first day of use, not sized for adults
1. I have cerebral palsy and use a wheelchair most of the time in public. As a result, my legs are smaller and thinner than what's normative, and these still barely fit. I can't recommend them for typically sized adults.2. I bought these for simple crawling around or walking on my knees while camping or fishing, general outdoor use where there's no pavement or suitable path for a wheelchair. The rivets that attach the articulating knee guard popped off on my first day testing them. They're made of flimsy plastic instead of steel like the rivets that attach the plastic armor over the shin pads. This said, if they can't stand up to calmly crawling around on non-paved surfaces, there's no way these would actually protect someone on a motorcycle who leaned too far, fell, or crashed despite being labelled for such use. I wouldn't trust them for anything, especially not a sport or hobby where you can expect to risk a hard fall or sudden impact on the knee. I can't fathom why they skimped on the rivets for the most crucial articulating part, but used suitable steel ones for the rest.

Not sized for adults
These are not sized for adults. They are too small for adult thighs and shins. Good value for money if they fit, but since they don't and will have to be returned, the rating is lower. Both wife and I tried these. I'm 6ft 190 lbs and she is 5'8" 160 lbs so both are average sizes.

They Click And Clack When I Walk
I guess they'll do the job, but they look so dumb I don't want to wear them. I'd rather have my shins beat all to heck, and they now are, than wear these. When you'd choose pain and injury rather than wear a product, you know that product is bad.But yes, you can run in them. They'll just make a heck of a lot of noise.

Made like garbage
The plastic that holds it together is so cheap it broke during the first use. I tried to repair it, and then it broke elsewhere on the second use. Do not buy this. It won't protect anything. The first time mine broke, it was literally from walking. My legs brushed against each other gently, and one of the clips snapped off.The other time, I was kneeling down, so easing half my weight on it (I am not heavy), and a plastic rivet popped out before I even had my full weight down. I am convinced that any real impact would destroy these.

Waste of money.
They broke on the first ride on my dirt bike. I was just wearing them I did not crash. When I got back to my camp site took off my riding pants and they were broke. The peace that holds them together some kind of pin fell out.

Fell apart
These "upgraded" knee pads fell apart inside of 30 minutes. Not enough to send back, parts went every where. Wish I could give 1/4 star rating.

Never again
They slide down if you wear them over jeans they don't allow you to tighten them past a certain point and they broke just from me putting my knee on the ground to tie my sneaker so don't really think they would handle a impact..
