Best so far
I ordered this oil for my husband. He has tried SOOO many different oils and they all left him with an oily look/feel and a residue on his hands that never seemed to want to go away. This oil absorbs into the skin like it should and Sandalwood smells great too!!!He’s just started using it, but so far we both love it. For reference: he’s pairing it with the beard wash and balm of the same brand/scent as well.

Use daily after beard care routine (wash/ conditioning). Beard feels and looks softer and healthier.
Took a gamble on a new beard company after losing faith in the one I used to use. This beard oil is top notch. Only need 2-3 drops max for a small beard (about 1 to 1.5 inches at longest points). Scent is strong on application but subtle after rubbing it in. Really moisturizes the skin and gives the beard a healthy sheen that doesn't look wet, or gross. Works best after beard washing and conditioning. I'm African-American and it's fantastic even on my extra curly and coarse beard. Use it. It's good for you :)

GET SOME !!!
This is only the third review of a great product, and that is both sad and confusing...Like Rodney Dangerfield would say, "No respect."Ok, leaving the depression behind, I'll try to play "beard cupid" so that your beard and this oil can hook up...I've tried "Viking Revolution" beard oil in two forms...Unscented and Sandalwood...The first was garbage, and the second was nice smelling garbage...Besides any scent involved, both contained Argan oil and Jojoba oil, and that's it...That is the ingredient list in most beard oils, and that's why most beard oils are useless...The "Viking Revolution'" oils are also thin as water...This is a negative, not a positive...They were too weak to do anything of significance...This is not all talk and speculation...I gave these oils a very fair, unbiased, and lengthy trial...Therefore the verdict was justified...Another one I tried was "Smooth Viking" beard oil...A bit better, with a longer list of useful ingredients and thicker consistency...I used it for months and was fine with it because I added balm to it...Overall it's decent, but no scent...Hell with it...Fast forward to a month ago, and forget the Vikings or anything else...Hello "Rocky Mountain Barber Company"...I've never bought from you before, and you're fairly obscure on Amazon, nevertheless you've captured my attention...(See picture for full ingredients list, 'cause I'm not writing all of that)I purchased the sandalwood, and for some reason the cedar as well...Curiosity I suppose...OK, I'm writing about the strange cedar scent for a moment to steer you towards the sandalwood...Bear with me...CEDAR SCENT:Smells nothing like cedar to me...I couldn't place the smell for quite a while...Just figured it out last week...Pretty weird actually...Putting it on it smells like earth...Go into a forest, move aside leaves and debris, and dig out a handful of dirt and that's what I mean by earth...Then as that earth smell quickly fades, you're left with a marijuana smell...Yes, marijuana...Old, dry, crappy marijuana that's turning rancid...Ok, done with cedar...Finally !!! I made it...SANDALWOOD SCENT:It smells like (gasp) sandalwood !!!It's a "smooth" sandalwood that I think smells pretty damn good...The End...HOW WELL THE OIL WORKS BESIDES SCENT:I have a thick longer beard, so I use two full droppers, sometimes a few drops more...I wash my beard and dry it off to just damp, then apply "Rocky Mountain"...Blah, blah blah...Everyone does the same thing...We all know how to apply oil...So, the benefit of using this product is that it DOES soften the beard, and that it DOES help the skin...Steel wool turns to a soft fur...No beardruff to be found...No itching...Even though there's no wax, it straightens the beard a bit by softening the hairs that would otherwise stick out in all directions...And since the oil is fairly thick, it lasts longer in your beard...Scent and physical function are both great...I'm sold on this product...Took two years of searching...I can finally stopHope this helps...HIGHLY RECOMMENDEDGood luck !!!

Not great unless you’re nose blind
The good - does soften beard and help maintain. The bad - did not smell good. Scent is sandalwood, but smells kind of weak citrus-like and bitter. Not something I want under my nose all day.

Overwhelming scent
The actual oil does a good job but I regret this purchase: the scent is overwhelming and too sweet for my taste. It lacks the freshness and astringency of sandalwood.
