Smooth tires, not durable, do not recommend.
I would love to be able to give these tires a 5 star rating. From the second I put them on my Mongoose Dolomite fat electric bike it has rolled so smooth and easy. Easily making my bike roll at least twice as good. These tires feel amazing on the road and I haven't had an issue loosing grip in the rain, on loose pack ground, or anywhere else for that matter. The reason that I am not giving these tires a 5 star review is because they are paper thin, very soft, and easily allow almost anything to puncture through them. Since having these tires I have had more flat tires than ever in my entire lifetime of biking. I've had sticks poke through these tires with ease while riding slowly down a paved bicycle trail. The first time I got a flat with my rear tire using these tires I had to walk my bike about a mile and the entire side of this tire appears to have fallen off showing what looks like cloth all around the sidewall which I assume would make the tire weaker but it's held up somehow. At 50 dollars for a tire I would expect a stronger tire than this. If you ride over sticks frequently watch out with these tires because you might as well be riding on a tireless tube as it provides almost no protection from the elements. Also worth noting I've had 3 blowouts with these tires from riding over hard bumps, I've never in my life had a tire that would just have a small section of the tire blow out, allowing the tube to blow out a hole in that spot before. But with these tires I have had 2 instances where I hit a large bump and a section about the size of my pinky finger just blew out of the tire allowing the tube to blow out in that spot making the tires completely trash afterward. The first one I put a piece of cardboard in the spot that blew out and duct taped it in, this held but the tire ended up falling apart when I had to walk it home on a flat one day as mentioned above about the sidewall. These are easily the worst tires I have ever had on a bike and I regret buying them, not sure how I will feel about buying Origin8 or Vee Rubber in the future given this experience.

FLATS!!! I hope you like fixing flats!
I was hopeful that this tire would fulfill my needs but boy I was wrong. I really wanted to like these tires and wow, they are fast! I decided to get back in to biking this year, bought a fat bike and wanted to ride it all year around on it (I live in a snowy state). These tires seemed to fit the bill for summer as they are super light and have low rolling resistance. This comes at a price.... FLATS. I got a flat the first ride, yes first ride. New tires and new tubes, a piece of glass punctured the tube through the tire. OK, it happens I guess. Second flat not 80 miles later, what is it? A small ROCK, yes, small rock. These tires are getting shelved, I think the only time I will ever use these tires in the future is if I am participating in group rides (as I am a big guy and I will take any advantage I can) and hope I don't get a flat. I have ridden over 900 miles these past 10 months with no flats, yes ZERO flats, on any of my bikes. First 100 miles with these tires, two flats...Also, self steer is atrocious on these tires. I did get used to it and after pumping it to max psi (yes, much less cushioning) it was bearable. less than 20 made me want to cut off the tires with a knife. Yes, it is that bad a low psi. I am a 300+ rider so if your a normal 180 lb person I am sure self steer is not nearly as bad.

Road Tires for your FAT Bike
NO FAT tire is going to turn your FAT bike into a screaming road machine. FAT bikes just weren't built for that. These tires, however, make FAT biking on pavement completely doable.- They're lighter than my 5" knobbies (lighter, but not light)- The tread works well on both road and gravel. I wouldn't plan to use these for singletrack.- They look pretty awesome. It shouldn't matter, but it does :)- They're meant for road riding, and I can say I'm MUCH faster on these than my 3.8" and 4.8" knobby tires. I'm still about 2mph average slower than my carbon road bike.- Pretty easy to take on/off, at least with my Framed stock rims.- Price-point is pretty darn good for a FAT tire.- Durability is OK. The sidewall is rather thin, so if you aren't careful you can ruin your tire. These are meant for ON road, so as long as you're careful it isn't a big deal.I actually ran over a huge piece of metal on the road that put a 1" gash in the rear tire. My fault. I created a patch using the old tube, and was able to complete the last 50 miles of our ride without incident. Stupid? Probably. It certainly says a lot about the tire!I've ridden these the past 3 years, and I already have a pair ready for 2018.

Easy rolling, light. Good, wide road tire for a 29er
Installed the tires today. They appear to setup ok. A little tricky to mount as they are a fairly large tire on narrow 29er rims, but they ride fine. Couldn't find a directional arrow on the sidewall. Also they have a minimum pressure requirement of 40PSI. I had hoped to run lower in some situations, as I do on my Fat Bike. My guess is they need the pressure to prevent a wide tire on a thin rim from flopping over sideways in a tight turn. They are light and easy rolling even at 40PSI. They'll be better at the 80PSI max, on pavement. They have very similar tread to Vee R Speedsters I have on my Fat Bike. One other benefit over skinny road tires on a 29er, is that the larger circumference gives you more speed at top gear. I run out of gears when I run on my skinny road tires. And with these, I can still go off road when I want to. I wouldn't use them on mud or snow.

Solid performer.
Loving this tire on my rear wheel (Weinmann DHL80 rim). On an 80mm rim the casing goes out to 3.7" but it still maintains a round profile with good control. It rolls and rolls, very low resistance yet lots of tread.Too early to see how the wear is but I am very pleased with this in the rear and a Surly Larry 3.8" (on DHL100 rim) up front. The combo make for great control+speed.I wish they would offer it in 3.8" or even 4"+ for wider rims.

Nice looking tire
Pretty cool. Super fast shipping. Fit perfectly on my Specialized Fatboy. I commute with it and the stock knobby tires are wearing out. These look good on the bike. Not too small. Although they are an inch narrower than stock.
