Exped SynMat Duo Sleeping Pad, Terracotta, Long Wide

My husband and I recently started backpacking/camping and had individual sleeping pads. We would constantly roll off or end up on the floor so we started looking for a duo sleeping pad. When we found this one we were so excited to try it out. It is so warm, I felt like my back had a heater on it. It fits perfectly in our 2 person REI tent and we fit perfect on it as well. It blows up so quickly and stays that way the whole time. Sleeping on this pad actually allowed me to sleep throughout the entire night whereas the single ones I would constantly wake up or not sleep at all. This is an amazing product and worth every penny! I cannot wait to go on another adventure and use this wonderful pad. Love it!!!!!!!!!

Was interested to see why I needed to pay over $200 for a sleeping pad, but I instantly figured it out. The technology for filling the pad up with air absolutely blew me away. It's so simple, but works so well. It takes about 7 bag fills to inflate each side of the pad, and the whole process to inflate the entire pad takes a little under 4 minutes. Deflating is pretty easy too, it takes me about 5 minutes to go from fully inflated to being wrapped up in the very durable bag. You better practice your folding skills, because the bag only fits the pad if it's completely null of air. I haven't had any trouble with it, however, it's pretty simple and straight forward. Just make flat and even folds and you shouldn't struggle. I weigh about 190 lbs., and have never touched the ground (unless I'm on my knees), both my gf and I were comfortable throughout the night (we've used it approx 10 times so far). This pad gets a 10/10 from me. I doubt I'll ever own a nicer one.

Really comfortable BUT got a hole the second time we used it and 5 holes the next. This is with a tarp and the bottom of a tent between the mat and the ground. VERY FRAGILE, doesn’t make sense for something used for camping….

This bed is so comfortable, I have arthritis and had no trouble camping with this mattress. We ended up having to buy an inflator for this (since it isn’t for hiking we weren’t worried about weight). The bag works it just takes too long.

Great pad for two people, easy to inflate with the inflation snozzel. It’s a bit bulkier to pack than I had expected but that is understandable as it is a two person pad. Wish it was slightly smaller.

So glad that Exped, the highest-quality manufacturer of sleeping mats, started making duo mats! I'll be honest, this is not as comfortable as the Exped SIM Lite Duo, and I'm not a big fan of tapered mats in general - however the tapered design is not terribly offensive as when trying to pair two single mats, and this one is lighter weight and more compact than the self-inflating SIM Lite. We own, use, and enjoy both, due to these tradeoffs!If you're not sure about this or the SIM Lite Duo, I'd recommend the SIM. However, if you want absolute minimum pack space utilization and weight, this is the one for you. These are the two best lightweight backpacking duo mats in the world! Complete your collection with an Exped MegaMat Duo for base camps and using for visitors at home!

Lightweight for backpacking, Stays inflated very well overnight, and provides firm support with variable inflation to either half of mat. Nice quality fabric too. I suggest the wide/long for anyone 5’10” or longer.Great product!

As a lifelong backpacker this pack is absolutely fantastic for just about any type of camping. Durable, soft and comfortable mat. It sleeps two wonderfully and doesn’t make as much noise as so many other similar products. This is a go to pad for us for every type of couples excursion but honestly is a big comfy pad for just one.
