SpiderWire Ultracast Fluoro-Braid Superline Fishing Line

My wife and I got new fishing poles for trout and bass fishing. In the past I've used monofilament line, which tends to be bulky and breaks easily in lower pound test sizes. Reading about the new braided fishing lines, I set out to search Amazon for a good braided line.Having weighed the reviews of quite a few offerings, I decided to purchase this SpiderWire Ultracast Fluoro-Braid Superline Fishing Line. Being a novice at braided lines, the first thing that impressed me is how strong but light weight it is for the small diameter.Winter still has our trout and bass lake mostly frozen over so I'm waiting for a bit of a thaw to go out and give this line a try. The color looks like it will be nearly invisible to the fish. We'll see when I can get the line wet and real em' in.

I really love this braid fishing line. I did prespool some monofilament prior to putting on the braided line and when spooling had a friend apply some drag / tension to the spool so that it remain taut on the fishing reel.I did have a few wind knots, but most if not all can be easily untangled by slowly seperating the bundle. This tends to happen when the reel is dry and once you start casting it generally goes away. I think this is an issue with most braided lines. I have the 50 lb test and so far its been amazing! I have pulled up small logs and branches that my lures have snagged on. Normally the lure / hook would be lost but by slowly and carefully retrieving the lure I've lost a bunch less. Make sure to pair the line with an appropriate terminal, I'm using 60 to 75 lb test barrel snap swivels.

A nice looking line spools well and is very nearly invisible in the water. Do not buy this 10 pound test unless you want to loose a lot of lures. It breaks like a one pound leader! An extremely disappointing product that cost me four very nice fish, which now have bright fire tiger lip piercings.

I use this line for catching big bass and it never fails me.

Better than a lot of braid, particularly when casting, but still has the noise through the guides. I would say this stuff is about the same as Slick 8 but not nearly as good as Gliss.

This is my go-to fishing line. It’s thin, but tough. Every time I buy a new reel, I put this line on it as soon as i get home. It’s really hard to see the line, which can be a good or bad thing. But overall, the best line I’ve found so far.

Good product, but a reasonable short life span. It sinks fine but after a while after it wears the sinking ability fades as well. I use a lot of lighter baits and prefer the less line drag from the water.

This is great line. It cast smooth and has quickly become one of my favorites. I would recommend for anyone looking for a smooth line.

まだ魚をかけていないので、なんともですが、オイル？の匂いが凄いです。色落ちも結構しますが僕は気にしてません。ラインに付着している？オイルが原因か自分のロッドのガイドの問題か、滑りが悪い気がします。ガイドはアルコナイトです。ルアーの重さが軽い(10g)からしょうがないすね。ウィードマットのパンチングに限らず、テキサス、直リグ等でアシ打ちなどにこのラインを使っています。そんなに沈まない気がしますが、使ううちに水に馴染むかもですね。しかしオイルの匂いが凄い、それで浮いちゃうのか？
