This particular snack from Sahale is hard to find consistently on grocery store shelves, particularly the 2 near me--and my drugstore ceased to sell them and closed--and my current drugstore only sells the 1.5-oz snacks of the pecans in the purple bag which also contain walnuts. I am salicylate sensitive and really only tolerate certain nuts, pecans having less salicylate than walnuts. I have switched to the Valdosta flavor, and now what I do is this. I bring water to boil and place the whole snack bag into it for just a bit, then pour the water through the sieve. Pepper, orange powder and cranberries affect me--but the pecans are perfect for me after rinsing down what bothers me. It still remains flavorful, and it being pre-packaged means it limits the amount I eat at one time just perfectly. I am not a bubble person, but do have trouble with food and all kinds of medicines (a physician suggesting perhaps I was missing a gene that understands what is "normal"). I am 74, and I am grateful for any way I can eat good food (I also have celiac disease from which I almost died at the age of 25 since it was not discovered until then). Thank you for your nice product, and maybe my odd way of using them will help some other struggling soul out there who needs and wants something at least a bit tasty. Please do not take this particular flavor off the market!

Delicious peppery snack! Love the cranberries. It’s not too sweet.

I really don't know how to describe Sahale's Valdosta Pecans better than L. Thorson did in reviewing the 2 ounce packages (and whre I also quoted him/her): "This is an especially felicitous blend of crunchy pecans and chewy cranberries, spiced up with a little black pepper and orange zest. Good to eat out of hand, and also good to toss into a salad for some extra flavor and texture." After trying this snack I'd purchased away from my usual shpping spots, I couldn't remember the name of it and bought various nut snacks of other brands that I thought may have been the same, but was repeatedly sadly disappointed. Just yesterday I found the real thing again and decided to see if I could get it from Amazon. I was successful at first, but then after receiving them and wanting to get more, found Amazon was out.
