Neither the timer or phone app could be used to take a measurement in camera mode. I have to operate the button on the device, which causes it to shake and give a less than certain reading. Interesting that both functions are available when not using the camera - opposite of what I need. It also does not take continuous measurements. I have to hit the button. I would also like to see photos with measurements stored. It only records measurements. The laser is bright and more visible in sunlight than other pricier green lasers.

How do you turn Bluetooth on when there is no I icon Bluetooth? It’s saying app compatibility, but I’m trying to connect it to the app.

This tool was easy to use and understand as someone with no prior experience. We're in the middle of redoing the backyard. This tool has been so helpful and I was able to test it to be sure it works correctly. We have a large terraced upper area in the backyard, where we are building a casita for guests, along with a gazebo out front and a fire pit. I know the size of the casita, so I measured it and the accuracy was spot on. We used this to measure distance from the fence to the casita to figure out where to place the gazebo and fire pit table. This is worlds better than trying to use a massive tape measurer. It also gives you the ability to measure by yourself without needing help. It's a very nice and high quality tool. The battery has stayed charged through the few times I've used it. I'd say if you have a large building project, this tool is invaluable to get accurate reads. I'm very happy to have this tool as an addition to my tool box and would recommend it to others!

For me this is like learning the TI calculator all over again, as I am going from the novice old fashion tape measure method. I have tried using smart phone apps in the past with regrets and do overs because of accuracy, they simply do not work which is why I have stuck to tape measures. This machine is a different story. It's definitely worth the leaning curve for me for this level of accuracy. The display is easy to read and intuitive once you get use to it. The case is very functional and the included accessories feel solid. I am not sure how they get the extension pole to lock like it does, but it is nice. When you lock it it stays regardless of how far you extend it. The base has a little weight to it to help stay in place and its easy to adjust the viewfinder to the right angle when attached. I am using it at about the 30 to 40 foot range, but I am sure you can really go the distance with it for bigger projects. I love every part of this kit.

This laser measure is top quality, works very well, and the cherry on top is the stand with a case to hold it all. It has been working great and works perfect for triangulation for distant measurements with the stand and the visual display of where it is pointing. This really makes quick work of verifying dimensions for work like exterior painting. It seems quite accurate as it was within 1/4 inch when I took an actual tape measure to the objects.

I want to like this but I can't get the hang of it for measuring any detail. It moves to much to hold steady and know watch the laser point at the same time. The quality is very good, good case. Maybe with more practice?

Ça fait longtemps que je rêve d'un tel appareil pour mesurer des arbres. Mais vu le prix prohibitif de ce qui existait il y a dix ans, et vu que celui là convient très bien, merci Vine de satisfaire une lubie. ^^ Mon usage est un peu particulier mais me semble pertinent pour voir les qualités de ce télémètre, parce que mesurer la distance jusqu'à une branche souvent mobile en sommité de houppier n'est pas chose aisée. Pour vous dire j'ai réussi à cibler des feuilles... mais pour un tel exercice la caméra n'est pas d'une grande utilité et il ne faut pas espérer mesurer à la main. Je n'ai pu y parvenir qu'en le fixant sur un trépied photo pour le stabiliser, et en m'aidant de jumelles pour observer le bon positionnement du pointeur. C'est laborieux mais fonctionnel. La qualité de fabrication est très correcte, des matériaux employés à la finition qui donne une bonne impression de solidité. L'écran est correct, la caméra brouillonne et son zoom un peu faible. A l'usage il est très simple et très précis.

Tut was es soll, Akku's (NiMH) sind sehr schnell leer .... Kamera hilft sehr - speziell bei hellem Tageslicht, wenn man den Meßpunkt nur schwer sieht. Frage mich, ob es mit dem grünen Messpunkt wirklich besser ist? Die App funktioniert, aber sammelt im grunde nur die Ergebnisse ein - hätte mir da etwas mehr Komfort gewünscht. Aber alles in allem bin ich sehr zufriden!
