Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is a very bright tail light with four modes. The brightest mode is visible in daylight and I use it for busy roads. Most often I use the less bright flashing mode which is still highly visible in daylight. I get 2-3 hours of riding time before recharge. The unit has a nifty blue led that flashes on power down if the charge is still ok and shows continuously when charging is complete. Battery is not user replaceable but has a 1 year warranty. (After warranty period it might be possible to DIY a swap, if you have soldering skills.) The clip has a forever warranty - just be sure you install properly and push the unit all the way down after unclipping to recharge. The best thing about this light is that NightRider Customer Service is excellent - very responsive and helpful. I’m on my third Solas 250 and use it for daily commute.

Very bright. I use my own simple custom mount at the back of the rear bike rack I installed. Mounting on the seat post would be no good because of my rear saddlebags.

We love the brightness and battery life and used it on our mountain and road bikes. We attached them to our seat post or helmets. Then, the strap broke thus the 2 star rating. I have contacted the company for a replacement strap. If I hear back from them and they do replace it, I will change my rating to 5 stars. Rating changed to 5 stars. They responded quickly and sent me a new strap.

Overall, the light worked pretty good as a tail light. I like the mount, brightness of the light, and modes. I'm not that crazy about the battery life but I guess it is pretty good considering the power of the light.My problem with the light is the charging port. After about 3 weeks of use the port started having issues and very quickly became useless. During the last charge, I had to wiggle the charging cable around to find a position it would charge. Because of this, it took several hours to charge instead of a couple.I've owned the previous 150 lumens version of this light and had the same issues. Fortunately Niterider supports their products and gave me a replacement. I also had the same issue with a Niterider headlight. With all the Niterider products I've owned, they eventually failed because of the ports not any other issue.

Right after receiving this light, I fully charged it and turned it on. The setting I chose was one bright flash followed by several dimmer flashes. This is what I always used on the same item that I purchased directly from Niterider about 8 years ago. After 3 hours and 45 minutes the light stopped flashing. I believe that the claim was that it would last 4 hours plus in this mode. My previous light would last about 4.5 hours without running out of battery charge.On the positive side, the price was excellent compared to a direct purchase from NIterider.

One of my goals as a bicyclist is not to be killed by a car, and to that end, I want to be lit up like a Christmas tree when it's dark outside. I had a tail light of about 70 lumens, which seemed bright, but road testing it showed that it was not quite bright enough. This light is 250 lumens and it has a nice, eye-catching blinking pattern (among others) which makes it very easy to see. I like being seen while I'm on my bike, and this light does the trick. Heads up, it takes a while to recharge, a couple of hours, but it lets you know when the battery needs to be recharged by blinking blue/white instead of red as you turn it off. Pretty easy.

I really like this light. It is very bright and has several modes you can toggle in order to get the effect you want. It is compact and easily slides onto the back of my seat pouch. I really like the fact that it has a small catch on the inside of the attachment slide to prevent it from getting bounced off. Not many lights have this, and I have lost a few because of going over rough terrain. It also comes with an elastic band to attach to your seat post. A single charge only lasts about 3 hours so if you need longer time, get a light with a bigger battery

This light is perfect apart from being too bright. I actually end up getting beeped because it dazzles drivers behind me. They can't not see me now though which is always a bonus!

Is a powerful rear light.

Bien, me gusta para la noche en su modo fijo bajo que supuestamente es con el que más dura la batería. Con descuento vale totalmente la pena, sin descuento siento que hay mejores opciones con USB-c.El clip me parece muy versátil para poner en diversos lugares, no solo en el soporte. En mi caso lo cargo en la mochila para tener una luz un poco más alta.

Excelente producto, ideal para las rodadas nocturnas y con poca visibilidad.
