It works beautifully on all skin types. Itโs definitely a 5 star product
Love this product. Itโs actually the half and half by prequel. Itโs a thin and milky toner/ moisturizer that should be applied immediately after cleansing your face/ neck. It absorbs immediately. The ingredients contain ceramides and amino acids which are amazing for our skin.. itโs actually good for all skin types and can be used by those with sensitive skin. If you are very oily this can be all you need for a moisturizer, but I use a moisturizer on top of this for my very dry skin. I donโt give high praise for a product unless I truly think itโs admirable. This one is worth the price.

Lightweight hydration that strengthens your skin!
Iโve been using the Prequel Half & Half Fluid Moisturizer for a few weeks now, and it has quickly become a staple in my skincare routine. The texture is incredibly lightweight โ almost milky โ but it delivers serious hydration without feeling greasy or heavy. โ What really stands out is how soft and balanced my skin feels. The formula with ceramides, peptides, and amino acids seems to support my skin barrier, and Iโve noticed less dryness and irritation overall. It layers beautifully under sunscreen and makeup without pilling, and it also works great as a hydrating step before a thicker moisturizer when my skin needs extra support. Itโs winter now and Iโd give it 10 stars if I could! Just buy it.แฅซแญก

I love how lightweight yet moisturizing this is....
With all the layering of products these days it's nice to have a lightweight, thinner, but highly effective daytime moisturizer. I have extremely sensitive skin; this product is unscented and did not cause any breakouts for me. While it is on the runny side, I find it dispenses much like a slightly thicker milky toner/moisturizer, which I believe is exactly what it's intended to be. Other reviewers didn't like the hole-top dispenser, but if you treat it like a milky toner and sprinkle it into the cupped palm of your hand it dispenses just fine and the top is an inverse conical shape leading to the hole opening so whatever is left on the top goes back into the bottle via gravity. I decided to try this product because I follow the creator on YouTube (a licensed dermatologist with stunning skin!) and really love her unbiased reviews, tips and pointers on a vast array of skincare products. Even though she has her own product line (Prequel) she unbiasedly reviews many beauty products, a few of which I use that are not her brand. This has no scent and I think is a good value for the money, you don't need much, a little goes a long way and the bottle is a decent size. My 60 year old skin is soft, moisturized and glowing after I apply this "half and half" and stays moisturized all day. I plan to continue using this in place of my previous daytime moisturizer as it allows me to skip the toner--I get two products for the price of one, a win-win in my book.

I would recommend this to *anyone* and I'll never be without it!! Holy grail status for me
I love this stuff. I can't really use anything on my face and everything, even below the nose, burns my eyes. I love thi stuff. It leaves a dewy finish which is perfect for accepting sunscreen under make up. I am not sure why everyone says it's so "lightweight" I guess they mean the product itself which is slightly thicker than a toner but the moisturizing is not "light". I have extremely dry skin and if I use this twice a day it literally stays dewy on my skin all night. If I'm having a very dry day I let it soak in and then apply another layer. I love this stuff. I will never be without it and like I said I really can't get along with anything on my skin. By the way it softened up all my laugh lines so much in just a few days I must have been really dehydrated there. Also leaves my mouth area feeling really nice for applying lip products over it. I am going to purchase many more Prequel products because this is product is such a great endorsement for the whole line. By the way the packaging is beautiful. It feels like velvet, the bottle is just the right size to feel great in the hand and it looks really clean and modern on the sink. So it's even giving the "experience". Including how you tip it over and let it drip into the palm of your hand. Four to five drops covers my whole face and part of my neck. It lasts forever. I started using it twice a day two months ago and I haven't used more than 10 to 15% of it. I can't believe the price for this! They can't be making money; I don't know how they do it.

Incredible Hydration and Barrier Support, But Has a Weighty Finish
As someone who is always looking for effective, barrier-supporting skincare to use in my daily routine, I was excited to test out this Prequel Ceramide Peptide Lotion. It delivers fantastic, hard-working hydration, but the texture may not suit every skin type.โข The Pros: The ingredient profile is excellent. Packed with ceramides and peptides, it does an incredible job of immediately soothing dry, irritated skin and locking in moisture. It absorbs relatively well without leaving a sticky or tacky residue, and it works wonderfully as a heavy-hitting night lotion or for cooler weather when the skin barrier needs extra protection. It is also fragrance-free, making it great for sensitive skin.โข The Cons: It is quite rich. If you have oily or combination skin, it might feel a bit too heavy or look overly dewy for daytime wear under makeup. The Verdict: A phenomenal, clinical-grade moisturizer for dry or compromised skin barriers. If you want deep hydration without unnecessary fillers, this is a fantastic value.

Great
I really like this moisturizer. Itโs lightweight but still feels moisturizing enough, and it absorbs into my skin without feeling heavy or greasy. I also like that it layers well with the rest of my skincare and doesnโt pill under sunscreen or makeup. My skin can be pretty sensitive, especially with using tretinoin, and this has been gentle and hasnโt caused any irritation. No fragrance

Prequel Keeps Proving That Great Skincare Does Not Have to Be Expensive
There is a difference between an inexpensive skincare product that happens to be good and a genuinely well-formulated skincare product that happens to be affordable. Prequel keeps falling into the second category for me. I have used enough skincare at this point, across just about every price range, that I don't automatically equate a high price with a better formula. Prequel continues to surprise me because their products feel like someone started with the formulation and skin biology first, then figured out how to sell it at a reasonable price.I absolutely love Half & Half.At 53, post-menopausal, with dry mature skin, I don't actually use this as my final moisturizer. I use it more like an essence or milky emulsion, after my lighter serums and before my moisturizer. Prequel even suggests layering it under moisturizer for dry skin, and after using it that way, I think that is where this product really excels for me.The texture is fantastic. You have to shake the bottle because this is a very fluid emulsion, and when it comes out it feels almost like a cross between a milky essence and an extremely lightweight lotion. I press it into my skin rather than rubbing it around like a traditional cream. It absorbs quickly, but my skin immediately feels softer, more hydrated and less tight. It gives me that slightly plumper, well-moisturized look without leaving a greasy layer behind. Then I put my regular moisturizer over it.That combination has been excellent for my dry skin. Half & Half gives me the water, humectants, lipids and barrier support I want underneath, while my cream on top gives me the richer occlusion my skin needs. I wouldn't personally expect this to replace a substantial moisturizer on very dry post-menopausal skin, but I also don't consider that a weakness. Used as a layering product, it has become far more useful to me than another heavy cream would have been. And the ingredient list is a big reason I rate this so highly.Glycerin and propanediol are right at the beginning of the formula, giving it a solid humectant base. Then there is squalane along with olive-derived emollients and other lipids, which help explain why this feels much more nourishing than the watery consistency initially suggests. It hydrates without feeling like one of those thin products that disappears in thirty seconds and leaves my dry skin asking what exactly just happened. The ceramide system is particularly good. There are five listed formsโCeramide NP, AS, NS, EOP and APโand Prequel specifically identifies a 1% dermo-mimetic Ceramide NP technology in an olive-glyceride lipid matrix. Ceramides are components of the skin's own barrier, so I find their inclusion much more interesting here as part of a broader barrier-supporting formula than I would if โceramidesโ were simply slapped across the front of the bottle as a marketing word. For my skin, that matters. Post-menopausal dryness isn't something I can solve by throwing hyaluronic acid at my face all day. I want hydration, but I also want products that help support the barrier that is supposed to keep that moisture in. This formula approaches hydration from several directions instead of relying on one hero ingredient. There is also a surprisingly extensive amino-acid component. Sodium PCA, sodium lactate, PCA, serine, alanine, glycine, glutamic acid, lysine, threonine, arginine and proline all appear in the formula. These are the kinds of ingredients I like seeing in a daily hydration product because they support the skin's natural moisturizing environment rather than trying to turn an everyday moisturizer into some aggressive treatment product. And then there are the peptides: Hexapeptide-11, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7. I keep my expectations for topical peptides realistic. I'm not expecting a fluid moisturizer to erase wrinkles or somehow replace my stronger anti-aging products. But peptides make complete sense in a formula designed around hydration, barrier support and maintaining healthier-looking skin over time. They add another layer to an already very complete formula rather than being the sole reason to buy it.I also like what Prequel didn't feel compelled to add. There is no fragrance, which makes complete sense for this type of barrier-focused product. Most importantly, though, I like what this actually does on my face. When I use Half & Half, my skin feels comfortable. It looks hydrated and has a nice healthy sheen without looking oily. Fine dehydration lines are less obvious because my skin isn't parched, and everything I put on afterward seems to sit better. It also layers extremely well for me. I can put a richer moisturizer over it without creating a heavy mess, and I haven't had problems with pilling when I continue with sunscreen or makeup. That's ultimately why this has earned five stars from me. I can dissect an ingredient list all day, but if I don't enjoy using the product or don't notice a difference in how my skin looks and feels, none of that matters.I've spent hundreds of dollars on individual skincare products. Some have absolutely been worth it. Others haven't. Prequel isn't making me rethink luxury skincare, but it does keep reminding me that price and formulation quality are two entirely different things.Half & Half feels like a product that was formulated to be good first and affordable second.
