Are the main bars 2" x 2"?

The main bars are slightly bigger, they measure at 2 ¼” x 2 ¼“. Thank you for asking!

My basement ceiling tops out at exactly 80in. is there a way to assemble it to make it fit, like inverting pullup bar(which i don't plan on using)?

You can put the pull up bar upside down which would make the height a few inches shorter. I think it's smart to have it on though as it adds support to the top of the frame.
