I love the Goya brand since they aren’t just a bunch or water or over-processed mass of beans. They taste great and I eat them alone or add them to chili or soups or Mexican food. Very good beans. I try and reduce my sodium intake so I just pour the can in to a strainer and rinse. Great quality.

Goya definitely makes the best black beans.The can is packed full of beans and little liquid.Black beans are a tasty, nutrious food, and wonderful to keep on hand, as a side or even full meal, which can be enhanced with various spices, herbs or vegetables.I only have had one problem, on rare occasion, which can cause injury if you try to open the can when the "pull off flap" disconnects. If that happens, it's impossible to open with a regular can opener. At that point, best to discard the entire can and not risk slicing your hand or fingers, struggling to open. I think "old fashioned" cans were better and so were simple can openers.
