Noticeable temperature drop after fitting!
I'm not a big RGB fan but I also don't particularly like the all white design of the Asus Rog Ally (I would prefer to have the Ally X appearance) so when I saw some reviews stating temperature drops from fitting this back plate I wanted to give it a go. The transparent case is a nice change from the all white design and whilst I'm not a RGB fan the options given with this case are pleasant enough and not in your face. The main reason I bought this was because of the claims of lower temps, after fitting mine I can confirm the temperature drops are more than significant. I use my Ally to play multiple AAA games like Shadow of The Tomb Raider, Stalker 2, RDR & RDR2, and Diablo 4. As the new season in Diablo 4 has recently started this was the first game I launched after fitting the new back plate, usually in D4 my CPU & GPU temps were always above 85°C and frequent throttling would occur. After fitting the new back plate my temps over an hour of play my temps were in the mid 70's and did not throttle once.Fitting is very straightforward (Links to fitting guides are provided on a small folded piece of paper) and took less than 10 minutes to do. Supplied is a large sticker to cover the ugly silver battery strip which looks much better in my opinion along with 4 little black stickers to cover the light sensor and the sensor does need to be covered otherwise the Ally won't power on.Overall this backplate is amazing! The temperature decrease I believe is because this back plate has more ventilation holes and less restrictions on the holes which allows for significantly better airflow. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a back plate that lowers temps and looks visually appealing

Looks great, easy to fit, improved cooling!
Really surprised how easy this was to install - everything is included, screwdriver etc. Took 10 minutes, start to finish.Looks fantastic, and matches my Nothing Ear 2024 Earbuds.LED is a bit pointless - okay it looks cool and you can customise it with inserts (even design your own - which is a thoughtful inclusion) but 4 hours battery life, and you have to remember it to turn on, off and charge it!Improved cooling performance - I was surprised to see how small the inlets were for the stock back...the ones in the replacement are much more generous so airflow has definitely been improved. I have a pretty aggressive fan curve anyway...so my fans are always roaring.Thoughtful battery sticker included as it UGLY without it!

nice bit of kit
lowers temps on the APU by quite abit, RGB is abit of a gimmick but its still nice to have, the extra stick and back button tips are handy as is the eGPU port cover. good stuff!

Mediocre product.
Overview:The JSAUX RGB Transparent Back Plate for the ROG Ally is an eye-catching accessory designed to enhance the aesthetic appeal of your gaming device. However, while it succeeds in adding a unique visual flair, it falls short in several practical aspects that might leave some users dissatisfied.Design and Aesthetics:The transparent design of the backplate allows users to showcase the internal components of the ROG Ally, which is a nice touch for those who appreciate a more technical and sophisticated look. The addition of RGB lighting further amplifies this visual appeal, making your device stand out, especially in dimly lit environments.Build Quality and Fit:Unfortunately, the product suffers from mediocre build quality. When assembling the backplate, a slight edge remains around the case, which detracts from the seamless look it aims to provide. This imperfection not only impacts the device's appearance but could potentially cause discomfort during extended use, as the uneven edge might dig into your hands.Functionality:One of the more baffling design choices is the inclusion of the RGB backlight. While it looks cool, it serves no functional purpose. The space and resources devoted to this feature would have been far better utilized if JSAUX had opted to include a small battery bank instead. Such an addition could have provided extra playtime for gamers, adding significant value to the product.Analog Stick Covers:The backplate comes with analog stick covers, but these also leave much to be desired. The covers lack any grip, making them almost pointless for enhancing gameplay. Gamers who rely on precision and control might find themselves frustrated by the slippery surface, which could lead to decreased performance in fast-paced games. Conclusion:While the JSAUX RGB Transparent Back Plate for ROG Ally is visually appealing and adds a unique touch to your device, its practical shortcomings cannot be overlooked. The mediocre build quality, the pointless backlight feature, and the ineffective analog stick covers collectively diminish its overall value. If you're seeking an accessory that improves both the look and functionality of your ROG Ally, you might want to explore other options. For those who prioritize aesthetics above all else, this backplate could still be a consideration, but be aware of its limitations.
