Very easy to brew
Simple make up and brew kit that delivers a traditional style Scottish Heavy. I made this up with brewing sugar and left in the bucket for two weeks on a heat pad. Syphoned into pressure barrel and primed with dark spraymalt. Two weeks to condition and clear and it's lovely. Malty and delicately bitter , it's like a traditional 80 Shilling Ale. I always put two or three clear bottles down to check for clearing. These don't taste as good and the head doesn't develop quite so well, so keg this one rather than bottle.

Excellent brew
Easy to use kit. Brews out a treat in the fermentation bucket. Mine went into a pressure barrel and 3 weeks later it is ready to drink, 4 weeks it's even better. A nice balanced ale, great taste, crystal clear with a good creamy head on it. The only downside is the wife had a try and loves it. The barrel is now taking a beating so soon be time for a re-order.

my favourite home brew
I used to buy this locally till the brewing shop closed down. It is a full bodied strong medium brown ale. I can remember buying little bottles of Wee Heavy in Scotland 40 years ago. We bought one of every make of beer the off licence had and out of them all Wee Heavy was the clear favourite. This reminds me of that brand and is probably inspired by it. It is easy to brew if you have a brewing bin and a pressure barrel and a tube to transfer the brew to the barrel. You just need 1.5K of sugar and some sterilizer to make sure all the kit is clean and some patience to wait about 10 weeks. I am laying down the brew for Christmas, it gets better over time and I want it started before the cold weather sets in. All my family loved this brew preferring it over the lagers and ales I used to brew. On top of that this is one of the cheapest kits you can buy.
