Sony 16GB Microvault USB Flash Drive

I bought this on lightning deal. Utterly disappointed with the Write Speed. I bought this thinking it is SONY and will perform best to its brand reputation. However when I started using this I barely got 3 to 4 MBps of Write Speed. Tried 2.0, 3.0 ports and performed flash benchmark tests. This drive has average write speed of 4.9MBps max and read speed of 18MBps. The size and design of drive in actual is also very weird. Very bulky and sliding type. I will go back to SanDisk CruzerBlade which has x2 times Write speed..

Rate helpfull if like the review..fake product only looks good retractable button in very tight and get useless after some slides.Then we have to insert it by pressing by thumb to the button. Speed is not good only 7 MB per second. different customer get different outer cover got curropted after the warranty date. my pendrive got 256 corrupt errors.

Good Transfer speed

Just after few times use, this flash drive stopped working. Not getting identied by PC/Laptop. I cant copy on flash drive nor the files on pendrive can be copied/downloaded from this USB drive.Requesting the supplier, cloudtail to replace it. Many times in past supplies have been made by cloudtail, no complaint was registered. This time experience is bad. I am sure supplier will take care of this small replacement and maintain their reputation This item was bought in June

I am surprised that it i a Sony product... I Had to call up the sony customer care and confirm... they said yes it is a sony! This is the worst quality thumb drive I have ever used. Shabby design, real slow and extremely poor performance. DON'T BUY IT. The first one did not worked at all, I got a replacement (There is NO refund)... and 2nd one stopped working after 3 days of usage (used it only for 5-6 data transfers).

Good pendrive. But written speed it low 5-6 mbps.. but no complaints at this price.

This product is very good at this price range.But if you want high data transfer speed then you should not purchase this productIt tranfers data at 4 or 5 MBps while hp pendrive has 10 MBps speed of data transfer.So if you want faster data transfer and good performance then you should go for HP pendriveIf you don't require performance and faster data transfer speed then this pendrive is perfect for you because this is at very affordable price.

The reason I am giving 1 star is check out if a Sony Service Centre is nearby before buying because if your pen drive gets corrupted (Mine got corrupted in 5 months). I had to make 1 visit to submit the pen drive. I was provided a job sheet.Then I had to make another visit to get replacement pen drive. This is a process deficiency. So if pen drive works for 1 year well and good Or else be ready to make 2 visits.
