It's EXTREMELY difficult to find a supplement/weight gain product for cats who have hyperthyroidism and CANNOT consume added iodine in their snacks or main food. This powdered version doesn't have potassium iodide (their other versions do). It mixes very smooth (in seconds) in water and/or HydraCare using a handheld foam blender. I'm on my third container of it. FYI, my local pet store contacted the manufacturer because their distributor only carries the dog version. Per the manufacturer: the "dog" version is exactly the same as the cat, just a larger container and the scooper inside is twice the size as the scooper that comes with the cat version. My cat had to have all of his teeth pulled due to stomatitis. He just couldn’t eat enough wet food to keep up his weight. This powder was a miracle! He loves the taste and most importantly he’s back up to his healthy weight. He eats better now, but he still insists I sprinkle a little of this over his food for flavor. 😆

Seemed to help perk my cat up after a serious surgery and rough recovery. I wish I could have bought a smaller amount though.

I bought this to try to help my kitty gain some weight back, she's been losing it due to seizures. I have put this in her dry food, in her wet food, I followed the advice in the instructions and made it a gravy and I tried it just the gravy, when she didn't eat that I put the gravy over her dry food, when she didn't eat that I made new gravy and put it in her absolute favorite wet food that I've never seen her turn her nose up at for anything. Nothing! She will not eat anything this is in, even just a half scoop trying to mask it. Don't buy, they just walk away. This cat has never ever turned her nose up at anything, I've caught her eating straight up garbage but even she won't eat this.

Our rescue cat has stomatitis so he was only 4 pounds when we got him. This has helped a lot with his recovery and he’s now at a healthy weight. He also doesn’t seem to mind the taste. East for us to mix it in his food

I'm sure this product does what it's supposed to do, but it's expensive, my cat hates it, and it's not returnable.

My diluted Tortie is a diva and underweight. She can sniff almost anything out of her food and will turn just about any fancy food down. I don’t use the whole scoop that’s recommended, but sprinkle a little of this into each of her meals. Especially useful due to the fish oil! Her coat has gotten softer and she, overall, has more energy! If you are only using it for one cat, you definitely get a lot of it and it doesn’t seem to clump even after being opened 3-4 times a day.

I have a senior cat who is losing weight and the vet cannot find a medical reason why. I bought this powder and a liquid weight gainer as well. My cat will not touch the wet food that has the liquid added but has no issues with the food when this is mixed in it. He is starting to gain a little weight back and looks so much better. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
