Original valve on Hayward 244T filter finally gave out after years of use. Unfortunately, the cost to replace with another Hayward was pretty steep. Searching around, I found overall positive reviews on this CMP valve. Since it was $40 cheaper than the original, I was skeptical but gave it a shot and I'm very glad I did. The CMP multiport fits like a glove and all my original fittings lined up perfectly. I apparently glossed over the details and ordered an O ring and new pressure gauge which came with it. And, the O ring was pre-lubed. I tested all the functions and each worked as expected. The handle is firm but moves smoothly. Although I've only been using this for a few days, I'm very impressed with the performance. Highly recommend.

Works great No Issues!

After eight years, our OEM Heyward valve finally moved beyond home fixes. The sealing material on the valve chambers had hardened and embedded with pieces of filter media causing leakage between functions. A crack on the gauge port was resisting epoxy fixes, and I had accidentally dropped the sight glass and broken it. Time for a new valve!This unit was our solution. Construction quality was on par with the OEM valve--the only ding being that the sight glass is plastic instead of glass. Other than that, which is inconsequential--everything necessary including a new tank to valve O-ring is included.This is a quick and cost-effective solution to maintaining your Heyward filter tank!

Must be cautious when assembling to the stand pipe in the filter. The connection is thin soft plastic. It works as expected.

Received earlier than expected and was very easy to install and fixed my problem. I did have an occasional drip between the top of the filter housing and base of the the new multiport valve. I ended up replacing the old collar used with the old multiport valve and put a new gasket on the new replacement valve. Overall very happy with this valve and feel it was an excellent value for the money.

Great product

Product was the perfect replacement. Installed without issue. If there’s anything I could be critical about it’s that the packaging was very poor. It arrived beat up and I was sure I was going to have to return a broken part but that was not the outcome. Was one minor chip in the plastic housing which had no affect on the functioning.

Was exactly like the name brand part that I needed to replace . At a fraction of the cost .
