Water has less debris. Unit housing fit perfect, and heavy duty material seems to be the same as OEM product. And size and micron are the same as OEM recommended.

It fit as expected, looks identical to the filters I have been purchasing in hardware stores for twice the cost. Time will reveal the filtering quality and comparable longevity.

***** Update after use. I normally get about 2 months out of the GE filters. This filter barely made it a month and the last week was very low water pressure. This may be due to GE filters being rated at 20 microns and this is rated at 5 microns so it is removing more dirt. It did start to cave in slightly, but was still functioning. It works but it may be a wash in price if it has to be replaced sooner compared to the GE filters. ****** The filters arrived within the delivery window and were as described. When the old filter needed to be replaced, I tried 1 for the first time. It fit the housing for my GE whole house filter which uses the GE type H filters, the only thing I noticed is that it doesn't seem to fit as tightly inside as the GE, as the GE filters stop turning as they lock in the last couple turns whereas this one did not, but it could have been that it just turns easier. I will update the review if I get any leakage or collapsing of the filters as others have commented, but so far so good. It took the normal 5-10 minutes of flushing the filter for the water to be clear and the water tastes clean. A side note, I was slightly concerned since the activated charcoal is made from coconut husks and my wife is mildly allergic to coconut, itching and swelling not anaphylactic shock. I didn't think it would be problem since charcoal is the burnt down leaving no oils left. She did not have any reaction after I changed it and I did not tell her when I changed it so she would prejudge it. It should be fine for others with coconut allergies.

These work very well in my 2-filter setup. These are the final filter before entering the home and have greatly improved the well water quality. The water pressure was not reduced and the material seems very durable. I will buy these again.
