Peace of Mind in My Rearview Mirror
As a mom, safety on the road is one of those things that’s always in the back of my mind—especially when I’ve got my little one in the car. I’ve been meaning to get a dash cam for a while, and finally decided on this one. I'm honestly so excited to have it now. The picture quality is crystal clear, both during the day and at night, and setup was super straightforward—even for someone who isn’t particularly techy. What I really appreciate is how discreet it looks once installed. It’s not bulky or distracting, but it’s doing its job in the background, recording everything just in case. And that’s the thing: I hope I never have to rely on it. But knowing it’s there gives me a real sense of peace—like a quiet little guardian watching over us during school drop-offs, errands, and road trips.Storage and playback are easy to manage, and the motion detection feature is an added bonus, especially for parking lots. For the price, I think this is more than fair considering the quality and security it brings. If you’ve been on the fence about a dash cam, this one is worth it. I wish I had bought it sooner.

Reliable dashcam with remote access and useful features
I got this dashcam after my car was hit and suffered some damage while parked at a public garage, while I was at work. I've been using it for about a month now and have been happy with it overall. The LTE connectivity is definitely the coolest part - I needed a dashcam which would allow me to check my car footage from anywhere using the app, even when the car isn't running. Please note that while it comes with a AT&T SIM card for free trial period, you'll need to choose a subscription after it ends (or use your own SIM card with 4G LTE connectivity).Setup was pretty easy based on the instructions in the manual. The OBD cable helped a lot and it took me about 30 minutes to set it up. The dashcam has 2 cameras; one for the road and one for inside the car. The night vision decent and offers a good view, even if the car is parked in a dark spot. The 24-hour parking monitoring and surveillance was extremely handy when I was travelling for work. It automatically records and uploads any incidents to the cloud, so you'd have the necessary evidence for insurance and legal purposes. You'll need to pay for cloud storage, to use this feature. It comes with a 32GB memory card which also stores video footage. You can purchase a separate memory card with a larger capacity.Two-Way Audio Communication allows you to talk to anyone inside your vehicle remotely via the YBox app. It can come in handy if you want to communicate with passengers on road trips, or check in on someone if you've lent them your car.I like the privacy feature which disables both in-car video and audio recording. Additionally you can manually block the cabin camera with the built-in lens cover for added security.I do have a couple of gripes with this dashcam,The video quality is decent, but not true HD. It struggles to capture license plates in the recording.Sometimes the remote connectivity isn't good and has intermittent failures.Overall, there is some room for improvements but it's a solid dashcam packed with some really nice extra features and will help you monitor your car.

Five starts despite some cons
This dash cam offers a well-rounded set of features that make it an excellent choice for users seeking both performance and security. It includes real-time remote monitoring via a 4G LTE connection, which works seamlessly with most carriers. Users, can take advantage of free or low-cost SIM options with unlimited data for worry-free usage. The YBox companion app provides access to live video, alerts, and camera settings, though it could use a modern redesign and improved user experience.Video quality is marketed as Full HD, and during daytime it captures decent footage. However, the clarity may not be sufficient to read license plates unless vehicles are close; expectations of crystal-clear 1080p or 4K-level detail might lead to disappointment. Night vision is a strong point, delivering reasonably clear footage in low light, and the 24/7 parking mode with motion detection and instant alerts enhances vehicle security when parked.Installation is straightforward, especially with the included OBD-II power cable, which allows for a cleaner setup without the need to hardwire into the fuse box. The dual camera system (front and rear) is easy to switch between via the app with no noticeable lag.A standout feature is the two-way talk, which functions similarly to a phone call. This can be especially helpful in emergencies or for communicating with someone inside or near the vehicle. Alerts are quick and reliable, giving users peace of mind when they’re away from the car. Also cloud storage requires paid subscription. Price described is reasonably fair.Pros:Real-time remote viewing via 4G LTETwo-way audio communicationMotion-triggered alerts and 24/7 parking surveillance (might need extra parts)Strong night vision performanceEasy installation using OBD-II cableReliable mobile connectivity with SIM card supportCons:Video resolution isn’t true HD; struggles to capture license platesDesign of YBox mobile app could be better
