Touchpad defects are common with these Razers
Beware of Razer Blade 16 laptops, they have a widespread defect with their touchpads since 2024. The hardware is otherwise great, the design is gorgeous, build quality is solid, but quality control is a crapshoot, so understand you’re playing the lottery if you order one of these. I bought the RTX 5080 2025 model and sure enough, the touchpad would randomly stop working until a system restart. Widely reported by several respectable YouTube tech channels. I contacted Razer support but they weren’t able to resolve it. I had this same problem a year earlier with their 2024 RTX 4090 OLED model, too. Razer did not acknowledge the issue and instead told me to reinstall Windows which had no effect. Had to send both laptops back for a refund. A shame, but cannot recommend Razer because their QC and their customer support is not good enough to justify their asking prices.
