Nice color!
I love the way my hair came out, I used it for highlights at home mixed with 20v developer and some lightening powder. It was easy to use and I ended up with so much left over

Defective
Idk what happened with this batch. But came out white out from the tube and despite following the instructions, as I always have. Added the correct amount of developer. But, this never turned color?? I thought perhaps it was a new formulation, but no. There is something wrong. I ordered 2 tubes. I opened the second one and same thing. It was supposed to be caramel. Usually comes out like a light orange and oxidizes to a dark caramel. I used this for a few years and this has never been the case. Im going to see if customer service can help.

Decent quality high-lift for the price, but very clumpy
First, if you're used to box dyes: this is a dye-only product, so you will need to purchase a developer separately.I've been using Wella products off and on for about 10 years, but this was my first time trying their cream dye (I usually get liquid or gel). It's a really thick consistency, and it was extremely difficult to get the lumps out. I had to bust out a whisk to get this to fully mix together. If you're the type of person who hates dye dripping as you apply it, this is probably a good option for you because the mixture ends up pretty thick, but I personally thought it was difficult to work with.I used 20 vol developer, and my results were pretty good. It lifted my hair a couple levels, and it was overall an even dye and lift. I was too lazy to do my slightly darker roots separate, so I had some hot root happening, but it wasn't as noticeable as when I'm bleaching. I would definitely recommend getting 2 boxes if you have long hair, especially because the thick consistency of the mixture makes it not cover as much hair (in my experience). I usually use two boxes anyway, but I was really worried I might need a third with how thick this was.I can't speak to how well it covers grays because this is a light color & so my grays might just be blending in. But the color lasted for a decent amount of time in general, which was nice. I do think this leans a little too warm to be a "12N" in my opinion; depending on your base color, I think this could easily come out really brassy.Overall, this is decent but I don't think I'd get it again because it was difficult to work with.
