Genius
I have been an avid do-it-yourselfer for years, and between my projects and the projects of friends, have probably removed and set dozens of toilets. Now in my mid 70โs, some projects have become a bit more challenging (such as holding a very heavy toilet up and trying to lower it slowly on to the flange screws) so when we needed to replace an old toilet, I called a handful of plumbers for estimates and found that living in a rural area might be nice, but getting a tradesman out to the house is difficult and expensive. So I went on the internet to see if there were any instructions on how an old man can wrangle a toilet for a successful installation. Thatโs when I saw the video showing the use of this jack. I was amazed and immediately checked Amazon for a price. At just over $200, I could personally remove the old toilet and install the new one AND save money at the same timeโฆ This thing is genius! Easy to use, easy to manage, and includes a detachable handle for easy storage and two rigid plastic 6 inch long straw like devices that are placed over the flange screws so you can easily line the screws up with the toilet as you lower it. Both the handle and screw extensions are stored on the jack using solid snap brackets. I cannot recommend this tool highly enoughโฆ Even If you remove and replace only one toilet in your lifetime, this thing is a must and given that toilets are replaced eventually, in the future, this jack will save your back and the frustration of lining up those damn screws.

this is a fantastic item
the instructions were a little vague but I am 70 years old and have installed man toilets. everyone knows the worst part is lifting the toilet over the flange and dropping it perfectly on the bolts. I can't do that anymore but even at 70 you can install a toilet with this. it lifts up the whole toilet like a jack. you can then move it all around because it has wheels. I rolled it over the flange and in slow steps lined up the bolts and it slipped down perfectly on the flange. it has already paid for itself by what I would have had to pay a plumber. a great product.

Toilet jack
Simply the best invention ever! No more hurting your back seating a toilet. Donโt leave the toilet on it for long periods of time.

Gamechanger
Let's just acknowledge that this thing is expensive. If you're young with a good back and only have one or two toilets to do then you can get by without it. I'm older, done my fair share of lifting toilets and am remodeling a house in which I'm working on 4 toilets. Including resetting ones done by contractors who screwed it up (the closet bolts have to actually *stay* in the flange to be effective...*&^%$$it). I ordered this because I'm half crippled and don't have the balance anymore to lower a john onto a flange safely...but I refuse to pay people to do things i end up re-doing. Enter the toilet jack. This thing is a gamechanger. Easily pull a toilet and set a new one. Zero problems. My only complaint is that for the price they could have attached the lifting arms to the base...kind of a PITA when you have issues with fine motor skills. The assembly instructions could be written better, but I get it..the assumption is that if you're buying this you probably have some mechanical ability to figure stuff out and you're probably not going to spend a ton of time reading the instructions. All in all - great tool if you need to lift a lot of toilets or you're just tired of dealing with the heavy, awkward things.

Never move another toilet without one! A real back-saver!
I have two of the heaviest toilets ever made. One had a bad wax seal and was leaking after 5 years. Remembering what a serious chore it was to install that unit, I started looking for a gadget like this Toilet Jack. I am not disappointed! I'll never move another toilet without one. It turned an hours-long, 3-person, knuckle busting job into a 15-minute operation... well maybe 30 min if you count assembly & disassembly of the jack. My only concern is the quality of the hydraulic bottle jack, but it can be replaced if necessary. This seems to be a design change since previous reviews. The casters are great now too.

Frankly worth it after one use
I work on toilets about once a year and I hate moving them, this is a must have and I would have been happy to have it even if I only used it the one time. It is not suited for all situations (toilets under something that can't be moved to lift them straight up like a window sill), but it makes work in small apartment bathrooms much easier and less messy.

Where has this been all my life
I have always fixed my own toilets and it has never been fun replacing the wax ring. It always a two person job, one person to lift the toilet and another to line the toilet up as you set it back down. After I had back surgery, lifting a toilet was strictly out of the question. This ended that problem. I was able to lift the toilet with no issues and could pull the toilet out of the way with one finger!!! It just rolled away, I was able to line the toilet back up and set it down using the guides (although I did crush one of them because I wasn't paying attention. My toilet (pictured) dips down more on one side than the other for the inflow, my guide got hung on that side, it snapped the guide, BUT still set the toilet correctly!) If you are a do it yourselfer, I recommend this for your back alone. If you replace the wax ring in two or more toilets, this will pay for its self. If I had to complain (the reason I removed a star), all the oil leaked out of my jack during shipping. The box was stained and oily feeling, the jack would not work at all, so I had to go to autoparts store and by hydraulic jack oil... it doesn't take much and the instructions did tell how to add oil and prime the jack... it worked fantastic after I added a couple ounces of oil. I love this thing.

Well built.
It takes all the work out of setting toilet, lining up the bolts is a breeze. When you lift up the toilet it tilts forward so you don't lose a drop of water.
