True to size. I wear a size 10 Curvy in AE jeans / size 10 or 12 in Old Navy jeans, for reference. I purchased a Large in these bike shorts and they’re perfectly comfortable. No digging into my stomach or thighs. I like the top layer of these shorts. They help cover the padding in the back so it doesn’t seem like you’re wearing a diaper. Great quality, would recommend. I bought 2 pairs. Comfortable to wear while cycling and the thighs are grip so secure the shorts and no riding up your thighs.

I had a knee injury and only recently could try these. I find them extremely bulky and the outer shorts are really short. I think I would try the underware only version first. Not a fan.
