After 21 years of use, our pool was getting dirtier vs cleaner, and the auto vac (Polaris 360) and Cl generator were plugging up with debris. Upon inspection, the manifold that takes filtered water from the filters to the pool deteriorated and had numerous holes in it. This caused it to suck up debris from the bottom of the barrel and return it to the pool. To replace the manifold, drain the barrel and remove the filters and both the inlet and outlet pipe connections. Remove the outer nut on the outlet pipe (lower of the two) and slide the old manifold and connecting elbow out of the barrel. The elbow is held in the manifold with an o-ring and mine was very tight due to debris buildup so I carefully cut 2 slits in the old manifold that was holding it. Clean, lube and install the elbow into the new manifold. Reverse the above procedures to install. If the manifold doesn't lie flat once it is installed in the barrel and the outer nut is tightened (several customers mentioned this), raise the elbow about 1/8-1/4 inch in the new manifold. The plastic in the new manifold doesn't seem as durable as the original so i can't say if it will last another 21 years. However, I'm very pleased that everything is working great now!!

Can't get the OEM part any more. My filter was not working cause the original 15 year old manifold was cracked. Every time I vacuumed, the stuff would come back into the pool. Replaced it with this one, fit was perfect and not more issues!!! Great after market replacement part!!! Very pleased.

I called our pool supply store and they would not provide a replacement C3000-C part or service our older Hayward filter system. I bought this part and decided to take this project on myself. I did not get an exact flat fit, but it is working well with new filters and the pool water is crystal clear.

... So that's why my pool stayed cloudy....The bottom filter manifold deteriorated and cracked (some not visibly) from "plastic-fatigue" after 22 years. I was trying to avoid replacing the entire $ 1000 + assembly & shop labor if possible , for a bit. Custom Molded Products 25357-750-000 Cart Manifold Cx3000C, less than $ 99 including fast shipping, replaced the original without issue. And thanks for the YouTube videos for guidance ! Will update this review after awhile, presuming it is durable.

Works great

We were using a ton of chemicals and bought new filters to combat algae with no luck. Come to find out that our manifold was cracked in numerous places. I ordered this and it fit our Hayward filter perfectly. We had to break the old one to get it out but installed this one without removing the pipes with a little wiggling and ingenuity. Highly recommend this as not one store in 100+ miles had this piece. Saved our summer!

It takes awhile to dismantle the filter so you can get to this manifold. It is an exact fit. Sand and dirt in the joints of the original broken unit needed some bounding to separate, after that it went back together with out an hitch. Pool water is much cleaner now as the filter is no longer being bypassed by the crack/hole the old manifold had.

I was a bit hesitant ordering this one, just because the price is so low! But, it fit perfectly and was easy to install using some youtube videos. Now, its a wait and see if it lasts at least as long as the original one.
