Talos Men's Cotton Cargo Short

I purchased these to replace some cargo shorts I have had for years that finally started falling apart. Was looking for heavy canvas for wearability, and deep pockets. My waist size is 36 but I can usually squeeze into a 34, so I figured a 36 would be a little baggy and comfortable. Probably should have bough a 38 because while these fit, they feel snug. I like a loose fit, especially if you plan to fill up your pockets. Overall, fairly heavy cotton canvas, shorter inseam (which I prefer) and seem to be well made. The velcro on the pockets I like....but my wife does not because if the back pocket flaps are no closed when you slide into her car..... the velcro snags her seat. Maybe back buttons would be better.... but what a hassle. I just have to make sure the flaps are down. Overall, nice shorts. Decent value. I'd just go up a size maybe if you like a loose fit.

These are really nice shorts, especially for the price. Being in upstate NY I live in shorts from the end of April until October if the warm weather holds out. These shorts are well made and admittedly, I am a weird shape. I'm about 5'7" 210lbs and bigger in the hip area (I know...no cover shots for GQ magazine for me). I ordered them one size larger to get a pair of shorts that are loose enough for active engagements, but they were still a bit tight in the hips while trying to squat down or bend over. If you're built normal, they will probably fit just fine. They also have excellent pocket space and the cargo pockets are on the sides of the legs rather than in the front. This is my preference because when your pockets are full they don't restrict you when you sit down. i would recommend these shorts and when I figure out what size I need so they are roomy enough for me, I'll buy more.

Since my prime days are behind me, my body gets more and more out of it's original shape.The problem lies, in a thing that has grown too big in the belly area.The hips aren't able to hold regular pants in place any-more and, here is the point, the stretch band worked into the belt line is absolutely welcomed.Also, because of the stretch band, it doesn't really matter if your are, 42, 42 1/4 or 42 1/2, it will just fit.There are plenty of pockets to store cargo, probably enough to make you go into your knees?All over, the product is excellent, we'll see after the first wash and a year down the road, however at this point, it seems that it can handle a year with ease.

These shorts are perfect!!! Being in Texas shorts are the uniform of the day for much of the year. The "style" today seems to be that shorts should extend below the knees, making them, in my opinion, "longs" rather than shorts. I'm an old guy and I don't give a rats arse about style but I care a LOT about comfort and quality. I only bought two pairs so I'll be heading back for five more as I often get them dirty every day and I only do laundry once a week.Anyway, the material is exactly the right weight to be comfortably soft and appears durable enough to last. And for those of you with concealed carry permits the pockets are perfect for a holstered LCR. WHAT MORE CAN ANYONE ASK?????

I am extremely pleased with both pair of these particular shorts. Purchased two pair, one in Khaki and one in Navy. Finding this design, fabric, size and inseam (6"), and in these colors, on line or in stores, was almost impossible. Searched long and hard. Well made. Brass zippers. Velcro flap rear pockets (I don't care for buttons). Belt loops AND elastic waist (wear with or without a belt). Good length (not too long or short). Classic colors. 100% Cotton, not perm press. No perm creases! Dry just a little rumpled looking. Can be hand smoothed when still warm from dryer, or ironed smooth if that's your preference. When my old shorts wore out I thought I was doomed to wearing "Omar the tentmaker" stuff, in absurd colors, until I found these.

I like this a lot. I'm very particular about my shorts (my wife hates buying them for me), but these are great.The pockets are deep, so you don't have to worry about things falling out.It not only has an elastic waist, but also has belt loops so you can wear a belt if you want, but it's not necessary.The thickest part of my waist is closer to 42 inches, but I ordered Size 40, and they are perfect.The black color actually looks kind of dressy, so I'd feel comfortable wearing these on a hike, or a more formal gathering.For around $24 (including shipping), I feel I made a good buy.

The shorts are really nice quality and a great price compared to what I've seen in stores. They do however, run a bit smaller than others I have of the same waist size. If you use a belt, make it thin, my 1.5" wide belt fits but it's pretty tight in the loops. All in all, no big problems, I really like them. I'll just be sure and order one size up next time, and there will be a next time.

These shorts are super comfortable and, if you like your shorts above the knees, these will suit you just fine. I found these shorts to be true to size. The material tends to attract dust or lint, which is unsightly especially in black or dark blue, hence the 4-star rating. Also, the button hole runs small, so I expect the button to fall off soon from having to finagle it in and out of the hole.
