Q: Is this cloth suitable for conservatory windows to stop light so my wife can watch tv.

It will completely block all light, so will blacken the room entirely. It is more intended for stage use but if you are happy to completely remove all light from the area then yes it will do the job. (Please note it is a heavy thick material though, which is completely black not like some curtain linings you can get on the market).
