although the book is prettier than the original, it is not better. in many ways it is more disjointed. I don't think it makes for a straight forward , simple to complex student reference that he or she will return to. safety and assessment segments distract from the chapter and verse of the subject material. the colour line diagrams seem to make learning the craft easier than 40 years ago.

Exactly what any carpenter or handy person needs , filled with tons of information also this book is used in pre test prep courses for builders license

Thus helped me pass my GC exam. Easy to read, easy to understand.

Used this to pass the Virginia Class A Residential Building Exam and Home Improvement Contractors Exam. Read the entire book front to back, it was excellent and learned so much.

It has met my expectations.
