The Smurfs - Seasons 1- 5 Set

Great set of the Smurfs 1980's cartoon series. You get the complete seasons 1-5 in their own jewel case. Each season has a booklet listing each episode with description and image from each episode. Season 1 has a character booklet. The DVD menu also has the episode descriptions. There are a few episodes which I have not seen on Boomerang, for example Smurfs Olympics from season 3. Intro songs are the original UK version. Video and audio is great. This is region 2 pal format. I got the Samsung E360K region free DVD player and works great. Recommended for any classic animation fan.

This was one of my favorite cartoons growing up😁I absolutely loved watching it on Saturday mornings! Did not realize there were different versions. Naivete’ I guess. Nice to have available but not quite the same American version I loved and grew up with. The music from the opening sequence and music during the episode is totally different. Don’t like that, very disappointed. The first season was released on DVD here in the states, but the series was never completed. Do not understand this. I kept the set and got a region free DVD player to play. Much to my disappointment, it is not the version I love. Though it is a nice DVD set.

You cannot view the dvd in the USA

Growing up this was one of my favorite cartoons and now my kids enjoy it. Love the box set it includes a character booklet and a episode booklet. Need season 6-9 same box set!!

These do not play in your CD player because they are not meant for resale in America. They must be played on the computer with an HDMI cable hooked from the computer to the TV. Otherwise; the product is very nice in appearance and all of the CD's are there. I am happy to have this product. I think there should be more emphasis placed on the previously mentioned information.

My GF orders these all the time, (not this box set) region 2 dvds box sets I have software to convert regions and TV format, I'm seeing a lot of bad reviews because they won't work in region 1 DVD players lol. Even if they did they would look funny because their in PAL TV format which is different than what the US uses. Hence again I have software to do a FULL conversion for playback in region 1 DVD players... I'm not telling what software I use it for my own personal use.

I am the proud owner of the smurfs ultimate collection volume 1 and 2.First off this product is region 2/4 so for those of from USA / North America ,our dvds are region 1, region 2/4 WILL NOT PLAY ON THE STANDARD DVD PLAYER. A region free player or modified settings on your pc will allow you to view these gorgeous cartoons ...... First off let me say kudos to the Magma Corporation for giving me the opportunity to purchase these cherished childhood memories. The quality of picture and sound is at no way at a loss, if anything it looks to me like new. If you grew up in the 80s and want the smurfs this is the only way to get the complete collection as the USA has no intentions to release this to us. I paid a little over $400 for the 2 sets and shipping ... small fee for the complete collection of one of my favorite shows .... specials are included. This set gets 2 big thums up and 5 stars ............ a perfect 10 if there ever was on to be given .
