Excellent Algae Scraper for Glass Aquariums
The API Algae Scraper is a must-have tool for any aquarium enthusiast. Its 18-inch long handle allows me to clean my glass aquarium walls without getting my hands wet, making maintenance much more convenient. The durable scrubbing pad effectively removes algae buildup, leaving the glass crystal clear. I've found it to be sturdy and long-lasting, providing excellent value for its price. It's important to note that this scraper is designed specifically for glass aquariums and should not be used on acrylic surfaces. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this product and highly recommend it to fellow aquarium owners.

Very effective
This is a very good algae scraper. I love the long handle that allows me to get to the bottom of the glass inside my 40-gallon aquarium. This scraper does a wonderful job of cleaning the glass.

It does what it's supposed to do
I took 1 star off for the price because it's a piece of plastic with a scouring sponge at the end and it's kind of ridiculous to pay $10 for it. But it's durable and cleaned the walls and gravel of my fishtank so well that I ended up having to take my fish out because so much algae and debris started flying around. It's useful and I'm glad that I bought it

You WON'T GUESS what this is GREAT for !! ;-)
I briefly had a 5 gallon aquarium but, without prior experience, it got ahead of me and I eventually gave up on it. I turned it into a easy care, fake succulent terrarium. No work, well lit, looked great and just had to dust the cover. But the glass scrubber stayed with me. It's now seven years later and my 'think out of the box mind' found great new uses. First it worked nicely in the tub, but I recently I started to use it as a TOILET BOWL BRUSH! No kidding! Now it's been used to the point where it needs replacement and I will buy two--one for the toilet, another for the tub. I'll mark one with nail polish to distinguish them. The reason I love it for the toilet is the shape and no bristles. Since it is slightly angled and FLAT, it scrubs UNDER the rim like nothing else. And without bristles, it doesn't splatter water drops all over the place! Bristles for me don't hit the bowl surface or scrub as well, either. In my case, it also fits the throat of the toilet perfectly making cleaning so much efficient.Who woulda thunk?

Worked great for my small tank
Easy to use. Didn’t scratch our acrylic tank. Easily got the algae off our decorations. The sponge is not very big and I do have a small aquarium (3 gallon) so it didn’t take me long. If you had a big tank this may not be as efficient. The sponge is maybe a tiny bit smaller than a kitchen sponge. It didn’t cost much so it was a good value for the money to me.

Cleans algae adequately.
Worked ok but really had to scrape.

Good for glass
I got the pad for cleaning acrylic tanks, and it works very well on glass too. I was getting some kind of stubborn algae the snails couldn't clean off that looked like condensation on the outside but it was really stuff growing on the inside, and this sponge gets it off. The sponge is thick, and large enough to cut into smaller squares that are easier to use.
