Not happy
This kid is not for you. It tells you to measure in grams but everything comes in milliliters. So you have to fend for yourself and use your own kitchen essentials. I don’t know how you feel about that mixing lotion in your kitchen utensils. So I find it kind of useless.

Nightmare
I thought this would be a set i would be able to do with ease unfortunately, it was a hot mess. The sha butter didn't melt it was like the Shea butter was old. It turned out watery and very gummy. I've made body butter thousands of time and never once have i ever had that type of nightmare.

I have lots to say about this product. Good and Bad.
I am reviewing "Hand Cream Making Kit, JCOOS DIY Handcream".I have a lot to say about this product and really cannot decide if I should give it three stars or 4. I will tell you as much as I can and let you decide.1. The directions are in grams, and the included measuring cup is not. The directions tell you that you need a kitchen scale, a measuring cup, a mixing bowl and a whisk in addition to what is included. I have no kitchen scale and I have never in my life measured anything in grams so this was a huge hurdle for me. Also I was not about to be mixing these ingredients in my dishes that I eat out of.2. I did the best I could with guessing the amounts using google but my results are more liquid than lotion despite adding more of the wax and shea butter than the "recipe" called for.3. I found the included essential oils to hardly have any scent so I added my own.4. It all sounds terrible so far- BUT - I did use the resulting product and it's actually some of the best lotion I have ever used. I am over 50 and my skin is super dry right now, almost visibly scaly but after applying this lotion to my arms, I swear they look 20 years younger. I wish I had taken before and afters to show. I was not expecting such a transformation considering how the rest of it went!3 stars for the kit, 5 stars for the results of the "lotion".

Fun Kit, But Measure Carefully!
This was a really fun lotion making kit to try with my two oldest daughters. They were excited to jump right in and I had to really explain that precision is really required with this. Fortunately I have a kitchen scale, which you will need to measure in grams. I only got that scale two weeks ago, so I am not real sure what we would have done if I hadn't happened to order that recently. The kit is overall pretty straightforward, my impatient kiddos were saying "can't we just mix it all up? We can guesstimate!" Hahaha. Nope that would have gone terribly. Because I insisted upon following it precisely and to be honest my results were still kind of on the watery side. Based upon that, I might actually adjust the water downward next time. The lotion was actually quite good -- feels nice, smells good, and actually provides some really good hydration (more so than I had expected!)Anyway, the kids and I ultimately had a wonderful time mixing the lotion, using the essential oils, and packaging the lotion into the little jars and labeling them. They would now like to become candle makers (time to buy another kit!)I'm giving it four stars because it really is a nice kit, and a fantastic project with kids, but I think it might be a bit unreasonable to assume every person has a kitchen scale at the ready.
