This Hiniso Dehumidifier works very faster and down humidity level from 80 to 50 in just 45 to 50 minutes for Bedroom. Very much useful in Costal environment, No noise ,timer, wifi connection, Superb product .

I stay in Mumbai and anyone who lives here knows how bad the humidity and dust is. The main reason for buying this dehumidifier is that I have sinus problems and dust allergy. My doctor says keep the room dry and dust free. So I was looking for something that does both. Also clothes hung inside the house just don't dry. They stay damp for one full day, sometimes two. And that damp smell on clothes is the worst. That was my other reason for buying this. For drying clothes it works really well I hang clothes in my bedroom, close the door, and run this machine. Clothes that used to take a full day to dry now dry in 3 to 4 hours easily. Bedsheets and towels which always stayed damp due to very high humidity are now fully dry same day. This alone was worth the purchase for me. For dust and allergy it has helped me a lot. This machine has a HEPA filter inside. Since I started using it regularly I have noticed lesser dust on my laptop and desk. I did a small test to check if it actually removes humidity I kept the machine running in my closed bedroom which is around 100 square feet. No AC. I used a separate temperature and humidity meter to check. These were the readings: When I started: Temperature 32.8°C, Humidity 69% After around 24 minutes: Temperature 33.8°C, Humidity 58% So humidity came down by 11% in less than 25 minutes. The room felt much less sticky after this. The temperature went up by 1 degree which I read is normal for this type of machine. It is not an AC so it will not cool the room. It only removes moisture from the air. Note: I had removed the HEPA filter during this test to check only the dehumidifier performance. What I like :- Clothes dry much faster, Room feels less sticky and damp, My sinus and allergy symptoms have reduced Not very noisy, the low speed is very quiet, Looks clean and decent. What to keep in mind :- This is not an AC. It will not cool your room. In fact the room gets slightly warmer while it runs. Keep that expectation clear. It works best in a closed room. If you keep doors and windows open the humidity just comes back in. Best for bedrooms, small rooms, study rooms. Not useful for large halls or open areas. Overall For anyone in Mumbai or any other coastal city who struggles with monsoon dampness, slow drying clothes, or dust and humidity related allergies, this machine is genuinely useful. Even though the Mumbai heat is too much, less humidity makes it a little bit tolerable. Surely recommended, but keep your expectations clear!

This is okay. It does what I wanted which was to stop the horrible mold issues we get during monsoon in Goa where the humidity can be 95%. An AC would work better but that involves alot of money, putting holes in the wall and having a huge outside unit making noise. We bought it for our small spare room in Goa. We keep clothes and stuff we don’t want to mold in this room during monsoon. You need to empty the water 3 times a day but there is an included hose so you can have it continuously drain if you want to. If the power goes off, it doesn’t have auto restart so you do have to turn it back on. There’s a thermostat that should turn it off when the humidity gets to whatever you set it it. We set it to 50% but I think Goa is so humid it never gets below 55%, still this unit effectively removes enough moisture to keep the room dry and there are no signs of mold or dampness in the room. It does create heat but the room is hot and dry as opposed to dry, wet and moldy. The price is great and better then any similar unit on Amazon and I read that the customer service is good though we haven’t needed to use it. Some things to note : You need to keep doors and windows closed for any dehumidifier to work, otherwise you’re just bringing more humidity in and you’d need a huge unit to remove the extra water. You’ll want to run this 24 hours a day and expect some increase in your electric bill but it’s less then other units or AC. If you don’t plan to use the drain hose and don’t want to have to empty the water so much, you can go for their bigger unit. The unit is fairly quiet. There’s a filter in the back that you can pop out and wash periodically. Overall, the price is great, its fairly quiet, and the unit works well and keeps the room mold free. Next time I’ll buy the bigger unit for my livingroom. Really, the price is great compared to other units if you don’t care about the auto restart and it works as well as any other expensive brand. We bought this instead of Sharp because every review said the Sharp units are super noisy. Important: With any dehumidifier from Amazon, make sure you unbox it and check for damage before you plug it in, then let it sit for 24 hrs to let the gas settle before starting it for the first time. I would definitely buy this again.
