It's not a bad switch just lacks instructions on how to wire it I'm not sure if you can wire this model where the light turns off when you turn the plug off

The diagram shows the correct way to wire this switch, fuse, and lamp. The USA color code uses black wire for the hot lead, white for the neutral, and green for the safety ground. You will find the lamp placed already across the switch. Wired as suggested here, the lamp will be on when the switch is in the ON position. The plastic used in this part breaks easily. Be gentle.

This is a great little device. It combines a recessed male mains socket, a switch and a fuse into the one product. So, you only have to cut one hole in your project box to get all three functions. Electrically, each of the three components is separate. So, if you don't want the switch or the fuse, you don't have to wire it in. If I were being picky, I'd say that they should have included jumper wires to hook the three bits up, and instruction as to how to do so. But, in reality, nobody should mess with this if they don't understand electricity, in which case instructions are not needed.

Switch works ok. There are no instructions provided but it you looks around you can find instructions to have indicator light always on, or just when switch is turned on.
