Got a great deal on mine and I needed a chair that could be stowed when space was needed. This fit the bill perfectly. I was concerned that the fabric seat would rise on the sides too much and feel awkward but it is taut enough where that doesn't seem to be the case. I also like that replacement canvas is available and easy to install so you can change colors as needed. I have my doubts about this as a chair that you can really lean back in and relax with as the fabric back wants to collapse some but sitting upright at a table is just fine. I have no regrets as that is what I bought it for. It is as comfortable as a director's chair could be. My only criticism would be that the foot rest screws in place and prevents you from folding the chair and putting it away. It requires you to unscrew the two screws that hold the foot rest in place to fold it. And for me the foot rest is a must have. Maybe I'll try to find some wing bolts to use instead. Also, the arm rests are just wood so one upgrade I made was to purchase some inexpensive armrest pads that fasten on with velcro. That made a big difference and is a low cost upgrade.

Received 2 of these yesterday. Easy to put together but I have assembled many director chairs in my time. Put seat and back canvas on before you lock down the hinge. I did put a paperback book on the hinges before pressing down to close so I did not pinch my hand. As I said- I have done this before. Higher end chairs sometimes have a flat spot on the hinge to protect your hand. I had no problem with the foot rest lining up but since I want to fold them, I took the included screws/bolts to the hardware store and asked for wing screws/bolts of the same length and thread size so that I could easily take off and put on the footrest without the need for a screwdriver. I simply put the footrest and screws in a big ziplock and store attached to the chair. A bigger problem was that the chairs were not really comfortable. The seat did not feel deep enough and I was thrown into a very upright seating position. Like sitting on a straight wooden chair. I finally figured out that the back canvas was too short and did not have any "give" and did not let a person sit back in the chair. It may stretch out in time but since I sew I am making a new back panel that will allow me to sit back farther in the chair. After adding up the cost of all the tweeks the chair is still reasonable but not ideal
