I was an idiot and threw my owala water bottle, where the latching mechanism is usually down, I left it up, breaking the latch on impact. I bought this one and it fits the Owala perfectly. I’ve never had an issue with leaking. Perfect replacement and I forget it’s not the original lid!

This is a great replacement lid for your Owala Freesip Water Bottle. I needed a new lid after our puppy got a hold of my husbands water bottle, and this one closely matched the colors of the original. The lid fits perfectly and doesn't leak. It is available in quite a few different color combinations so you can switch up lids to customize your bottle. Knocking one star off because this is not a less expensive replacement than the original from the manufacturer, but with prime shipping and fast delivery, this one is worth investing in.

I purchased this once before and it was a perfect replacement. Unfortunately, with this second purchase, same color, the threads do not line up with the top of the water bottle and it is a battle to get it to screw on every single day. It just doesn't fit well, which means it leaks more often than not. Bummer.

I own 3 Owala bottles and had to replace the lid on the newest one after an unfortunate fall. Fits well, but it didn't take long for the lid to start getting caught on things and opening on its own. I had two spills with it on my trip last week.
