Bosch GRO 12V-35 - very good simple high speed grinder
I ordered one of these right away, while working in India. I also bought one of the Bosch 12V drills because they can be super cheap here on Amazon. The cost of this grinder is crazy expensive in the USA, but I suppose they are more inline with the Milwaukee 12V grinders. I don't have them side-by-side right now but I'd say the Bosch and Milwaukee are at least equally good. I like the Bosch 1/4" right-angle die grinder better than the Milwaukee, at least for the little that I have used them. So, I'd say get one of these Bosch straight high-speed grinders especially if you want to go with the Bosch 12V line. Bosch still can't compete with Milwaukee though due to lack of tool options. The Milwaukee 1/2" x 18" belt sander is very useful. So is their little orbital detail sander.Anyway, no reason to not like this Bosch grinder if the price is decent. For me in the USA these grinders are 3x the price or more than what I paid in India. I brought a few 1/8" burrs from the USA and they fit just fine. Bosch seems to equal good value in India. I bought three pairs of Bosch 10" adjustable pliers in India for about 14 USD. Unlike Knipex, they are half the cost, plated so they won't rust so easy, and seem every bit as good.

You can't use this as it is
They give you only the drill without a battery or a charger. You are stuck and suckered into buying them extra. They cost lot of additional money.Basically Bosch, such a reputed company is conning you!!

It is Possibly the Best in its Class, Ahead of Dewalt, Makita and its own cousin Dremel
Several advantages and superior performance benchmarked with the much higher priced and similar quality brands like Makita, Diwalt etc.It stands apart with adaptibality with almost every accessory out there less than 3.2mm dia spindal (bit shaft). It is powerful and goes best with Dremel accessories quality stamp, but within India, there are many new SME making these, while some come from China but not all are reliable from the chinese lot.The machine is Made in China but has kept German Standards. This tool is quite popular in Germany, parts of Europe and North America. The model and its packaging with accessories had always been "Solo"a term used by Bosch for tool without battery and charger. There is one simple logic to this. What Bosch has done is, it has got almost all its 18 Volt devices standard with one type of Battery fit and introduced the 18V with different Amp (1.8. 2.0, perhaps 3.something and 4.something)., all of which fit across its inventory (Sander, Grinder, Drill drive etc). The tool is pretty powerful and I had begun adding the accessories over the past week after studying my requirements and also the quality. The battery charges pretty fast. The 2 amp battery is capable of giving over 4 hrs as per the videos of various users over past 2 years. The charging time is a little over an hour and if battery is very low, it is about 70 mins. My first charge took 35 mins. I bought a 2 Amp batter and the charger is good up till 4+ Amps battery. I plan to add impact drill/drive SGB 185, sander, cutter/saw and get only one 3+ Amp battery that would fit all. I wont need charger as the same charger would be usable. That is One huge plus for DIY or home use. However, if one needs a professional outdoor mobile use, more batteries need to be added depending on work type. Globally, users have reported up to 2 batteries give a day out for 6-8 hrs. However, charging time being low, the battery is up and going quickly.Even the Indian made accessories are great as our R&D and designers/developers use the India bits for various jobs. Perhaps they may be better than Dremel also.Understanding this machine first and its wide use (it needs a tear-ass creative mind capable of going wild on a creative trip), will make matters simple. One need not start with all accessories as they are perhaps over 400. There are however some jigs and rigs which Dremel had for its machine and the same go with Bosch also, but, it is better to make these as your project and add them to your DIY or Home or even Professional work. Some features give this a Super % Star and most would 5 Star. I have not completely challenged it to do things as this creative world would always find a better way to do the same thing and so, my 4 star or 3 star may be someone else's 5 star or some others as 1 or 2 star. Just one review here had made this machine less than 4 star because the buyer was not aware of the machine and its sales point features. It sells without battery since its launch 3/4 years ago in Germany. The reason is simple, as explained above. The choice of battery has been provided to buyer.Do make your informed choice to buy, but please provide a fare opinion with regard to reviews and ratings.
